In Search of French Vloggers

I started this week, posting a new video every day (between 5 and 10 minutes each) and people seem to like it, so check out my channel if you are still looking for a french vlogger (even though i moved to seattle 3 years ago)

I think there are two reasons why there aren't too many french vloggers out there: 1, they know that there is a much larger english-speaking audience than french speakers, and 2, the ones who do blog in french don't fully realize that there is a whole audience of english-speakers out there that want to hear a french-speaker vlog, therefore they don't advertise the fact that they are "french vloggers." i think that if they put that into their titles and video tags, they would get a lot more ppl.

Well, I'm french, and i REALLY want to create a Vlog channel, but the thing is... I want to do it in english ! Lol (Cause, France isn't open as much as USA about those Youtube things, and i think that jokes are funnier in english). Oh, and I'm really camera shy too, so... I don't know if i'll do it actually.

Maybe if someone help me to do it, it'll be easier for me.

@Caprican28 Well, there are some french Youtubers, but the thing is they're not really showing our culture. Then, they're not really vlogging, they are doing some kinda skits. And finally, I don't think they're funny. :s

But if i find a good one, I'll tell you for sure.

i know now how to find french vloggers..

go to the youtube startpage and go on the bottom to "help", then click "channels" on the left side.. change your location (on the bottom) to french and choose the categorie you want. :D

@4ishi4 Thanks, 4ishi4. That's a good trick and it's what I was doing back when I made this video. (You can see that the screenshots of YouTube have French-language text.) But it's still sometimes tough to find vloggers that way---people talking about their French lives in French.

But if you have any specific favorites to recommend, I'll love to see a followup comment!

This is so hilarious. I'm trying to learn more about French culture so I went on a hunt on youtube to find some french vloggers. And I couldn't find any. Maybe you have to try Daily Motion.

What do you actually look in a french vlogger? I mean, what videos interest you? What subject do you want to hear about?

Me? I can't say in advance. Some vloggers I've liked because I can't understand them (lots of slang, slurred quick speech, etc.), others because the spin pens, others because they're funny.

There are a lot of vlogs in french, they're just not called "french vlogs", that's why you're having a hard time finding them.

Just search "mon opinion" in the video search, and you'll find hundreds of vids of normal francophones yapping about various subjects in true youtube fashion.

i'm relieved to see i'm not the only one after all! one that i found is named dr. alexey. he has a few videos here, but he has more on dailymotion plus an older account with him and his friends talking... but that's as far as i got. D: i'll keep looking and try to post back

i just remembered how generic his username is and realized the difficulty you might have in finding him. his username is specifically DrAlexey (you can put that in the url). his dailymotion is easy to find under Dr_Alexey and his old account on dailymotion with more videos is snoopigor. another dailymotion vlogger is NiKOUnleashed, but he hasn't been on in a while. hope that helps

I found this video after going through the most subscribed on the French YouTube and then going to DailyMotion which I heard is more popular in France than YouTube, and after finding no vlogs I finally just typed "french vlogs" in Google and your video was first!

I see that there are a few people on here who are French vloggers but where are the rest? There have to be French kids who just turn on their webcams and make video about how much their lives suck, or people who sit there give long winded explanations of their views on everything. Where are the crying teens and the douchebags? I am convinced that France has just as many as we do, why don't they make videos?

Thank you very much. I used GarageBand on my MacBook as a multi-track recorder, and although my hard drive crashed, so I can't just look at the tracks now, I believe they're all synth tracks. --Except for the vocals.  The swirly sounds are the Crystal plugin.
