Not only was she the best female freestyle skier- possibly best ever, she was a beautiful and well spoke woman. Sarah was a voice to a group of athletes that are highly overlooked. Not only will she be missed by the extreme sports community, but the sports community in general. If there were more athletes like her out there, the world of sports would be ever evolving and less money driven. On behalf of all skiers (and athletes alike) you will be forever missed. Sarah was injured when she hit her head in the half-pipe while training in Park City, Utah. She got up, and walked away from it. But then on the hill, she went into cardiac arrest. When she went into cardiac arrest, a lack of oxygen to the brain caused one of the 4 major vertebral arteries that supplies blood to the brain to be permanently damaged. This is what caused her passing.
