  • no way that a boat can be that hard to get on plane even wit da motor all the way up. He should get a Ranger.

  • HaHa that one guy dont know how to drive a boat!!! He should've trimmed his motor down before he tried to take off! LOL

  • That guy knew how to drive, if you noticed he was in a bullet and they are a pain in the ass to get on a plane because of the way they are built, but guaranteed that bullet smoked the ranger shorlty after.

  • LOL! I've seen plenty of bullets take off but none like that! Maybe he had a plug fouled. I'm sure he passed the ranger!!!

  • bullets are the exact opposite of a pain in the ass to get on plane. That guy must have had a mechanical issue... or he left the transom saver on...

  • It depends on the year, speaking for around 04-06 with 250s ya they are harder to get on a plane.

  • you are saying that a 04-06 Bullet is harder to get on plane than a ranger z 20 with the same engine? bro im sorry but i gotta say that you're wrong. you can clearly see that in the video the guy has his engine trimmed way way too high. he either has a broken trim, or he left the transom saver on. what makes you say an 04-06 is harder to get on plane? do you have any experience?

  • Actually yeah, I have a good friend who owns an 04, which I know both owners of the boat, and I have a friend I met at a BFL that owns an 06, and when you have a boat thats about 600 pounds lighter than the norm of cookie cutter boats, with a full tank of gas and a 250, making a majority of the weight in the back, not to mention the prop thats made for top end which takes off from hole shot, think that might hinder planing? And Bullet I'm sure has made modifications over the years.

  • If your running a top end prop then it has nothing to do with the boat and everything to do with the prop. If your tourney fishing, you shouldnt be running a top end prop, so that driver error. That has nothing to do with bullets being harder to plane. also Bullets have not had design changes in their standard layup since about 1993, so nothing has changed with respect to "modifications." there is no way a ranger will beat a bullet in terms of performance in any way when set up properly.

  • I'll clear this one up... He didn't trim his motor down... For the record, he never got me and I was making 45 minute runs. Ranger wins this time.

  • amen dude thanks. Ranger'd blow any boat clean off the water. Maybe a bullet's faster, but hell I'd rather have a boat that goes 75 mph that's as solid as a rock than a boat that goes 105 mph with stress cracks all over it. Ranger's the best. Bar none

  • Let's put a 20i and a Z520 and see who comes out in front.

  • That statement proves you know nothing about any type of boat.
