  • I adore geese, they are mighty cool! HONK!

  • HONK!

  • Honk! Noise? I could listen to them all day, i have problems with the noise coming from factories, roads, ...!!! Great footage man!!!

  • Honk.......U see them all the time? When I lived in MA only saw them twice a year.

  • top o the mornin! I'd say we have some that are locals, Spring Summer and Fall. I am pretty sure they also leave for Winter. But a whole lot more pass by Spring and Fall; they summer father north.

My favorite is the Golden Plover. They travel from the Arctic to Argentina, Hawaii and Tahiti for the winter, at speeds up to 70mph!

  • Uh most go from Canada to Missouri, geese don't make it past the U.S.. ducks go to those other places though.

  • uhhh lockem you are full of beans and apparently have the reading comprehension skills of a bird.

  • Thanks, as an avid and successful goose hunter I spend a lot of time trying to think like a bird. And you clearly have no idea. They talk mostly to keep the lead bird going, to motivate it since it's doin all the frunt work in the V, taking all the wind breaking it for the others behind to rest, then they rotate.

Most Geese summer in saskatchewan, or North Dakota. There is also A very large population on the East cost, Mayryland. Canada geese do not summer in the artic, Snow geese do though.

  • Supossed to say grunt work not front work, or frunt like I said on accident so you don't try to say i don't know how to spell.

  • Also, geese hardly ever, very rarely honk. They cluck and moan mostly. A honk is a very demanding noise not often done by a goose.

They have tons of noises, clucks, moans, spits, quick spits, hiccups, buzz clucks, trains, double cluck, bouce, ye ol' t-rex, and of course, the honk.

So the next time you try to insult me, remember this is my life and I can guarantee I know more about geese than you.

So cluck moan spit. Not honk, cause you would be very lucky to hear a goose honk!

  • what planet are you on homer? i take it back. it's not qualified for bird size i'd say it's feathers on yer brain yes that's the problem. featherbrain, everyone north of the dern pecos river has heard a whole passel of geese honking.

i am not within a 1000 miles of the arctic, cityboy. there's a least half a bazillion geese that summer north of here and the plovers north of that in the arctic like i said so shut yer yap and go outside you spend too much time typing such uninformed nonsense.

  • Alright. Clucking and moaning passel of geese that is. You live up north? Great job, that makes me a city boy and clearly makes you know more about geese than me.

  • honk honk, honk honk.

  • IFR rules. LOL!

  • Beep Beep

  • so, thats where they go when they leave here?

    HONK!

  • actuallly there are several north-south flyways. Our birds go up and down the west coast, mainly. There is a central flyway up into alberta and saskatchewan. But I do believe your birds in the eastern flyway mainly head up to ontario and quebec.

Except for the anarchist geese - they fly all over the damn place in all directions!

  • thats because they are free of any religious or political dogmas lol

anarchist geese...you think they are crazy, watch out for the anarchist skunks! going around, throwing their stink everywhere!

  • Mendham? are you sure, I think they said Newark.

  • My cat wants to go there for a holiday

  • LOL when I saw the name of the video I was going to criticize you because I imagined you meant car honking... and cars / roads have caused much destruction to wildlife

  • truth!

  • I haven't heard their calls in years, Thank you much Windham! *honk*

  • Nature is awesome. Oh, **honk**

  • HONK

  • Honk! I love Nature very much.

    Nice vid windham.

  • *Honk!*

  • Is there a way to ensure these geese follow through on their plan to visit Mendham, NJ?

I'll pony up some dollars, seed, whatever.

  • I have heard that in order to navigate, birds home in on electronic signals. Some locations in Mendham have tremendous amounts of elecromagnetic energy, due to massive wireless transmissions of streaming screaming data. This will assist targeting.

  • If they are attracted to smell, that might help too.

  • Honk!

  • Honk!
