  • @hellenic300 you can keep your muscle cars asswipe, im perfectly happy with 38mpg in my toyota..

  • in the hunt of owning one real soon damn it!!! i miss my pontiac grand prix gxp that got totaled last yr.. :( well soon this baby will be mines!!!

  • This guy is playing the "uugh" game....think he won.

  • G8's are rare cars...even more the g8 gxp

  • Pontiac should have stayed i agree fuck buick pontiac holds legendary names like the transams and gtos i own a 04 gto myself and let me tell you i dont think ill ever sell that car.

  • meaning dont remember pontiac for the aztec

  • buick is the one that is reallllyyyy out of date

  • WHAT HE SAYiN

  • I want one. DARN IT!

  • @DroidNoid it did. it sold really well in the short amount of time it was on sale. it's a shame.

  • pontiac did't build it australia did, that's why it's sooooo good

  • So, which foreign company influenced this car?

  • When Holden built it, they used a BMW %-series as a benchmark for quality of ride and handling, and made damn sure they could beat it. Reviews of its local cousing, the Holden Commodore alll agreed, the then new %-series was inferior in handling

  • It may be coming back as a chevy... makes sense, one of gm's most promising cars

  • @millertime2727 Already wears the Lumina badge in the Middle East, you just have to convince GM that it would make a good cop car alongside the Caprice

  • Really? "Your" the idiot? I guess English is your second language and I'm wasting my time here.

  • if i could meet the moron who decided to cut pontiac instead of buick from gm id kick him in the face

  • @laxbro000 the reason that buick wasn't cut is because they are HUUUGE in China.

  • @laxbro000 Buick has been building and selling reliable cars that people want. Pontiac has not. Love the G8 but facts is facts.

  • This VE was benchmarked against the M5, that's why they drive so similar. Your cops will be driving the Caprice LWB SS soon.

  • stfu and drive the god damn car man

  • @M4rty09 LOL!!! Thats not nice!

  • @courtstone :D ... yeah :)

  • yea but MrGrog, it has all GM parts including GM's LS3 V8. But not mockin. R.I.P Pontiac

  • @DJ32C the LS3 was developed in australia, 100% pure aussie

  • @hellenic300 LS3 was designed for the Corvette, all parts for the Corvette were designed in America. Don't know where you heard about a Corvette being developed in Australia from but whoever it was didn't know shit. Before you put a comment up you should fact-check it from a reliable source (NOT WIKIPEDIA). Both Engine and transmition were designed in the USA

  • @AnAngryBlack yer alright, the engine was made in america but the vehicle was designed, developed and built in australia

just get over it, its an australian car, which out performs america's modern day muscle cars

    don't be an ignorant yank

  • @hellenic300 Hey dipshit, I don't know if they teach you how to read in whatever shitty country you live in but I never said anything about the overall car. In my comment I mentioned THE ENGINE AND TRANSMITION. I know the body was made in Australia. But it's not an Australian car, nor is it an American car. It's an Australian/American car. Australia makes it handle, USA makes it go fast. Fact is that car wouldn't be shit without the American engine and transmition. GET OVER IT KID.

  • @AnAngryBlack i'm from australia mate, where the G8 comes from , way better than your gypsy country

mate it is far from an Australian/american car

the 5L40E transmission made by GM for most of its new cars and its assembled in Strasbourg France!

does that make the car Australian/American/French?

Also the whole car is assembled in australia you fuckwit, the truth is it wouldn't have made a difference if it has or hasn't got an american engine only reason is it is cheaper

    so fuck of gypsy!

  • @AnAngryBlack check your pm gypsy cunt

  • @hellenic300 enough with the gypsy comments ya bastard

  • @dBoStuntin go learn how to build proper modernday muscle cars you fkn disgusting excuse for a human

  • @AnAngryBlack its funny how the transmission is build in france and is used on more australian cars than american ones AND its also used in some BMWs (does that make those bmw's american now?) and only one of the engine types the G8 uses is made excusivly in america, the other is made in australia and the third one is made in australia america mexico and japan...AND the G8's are assembled here then shipped of to your gypsy country

like i said, check ur pm and you'll see that i'm right

  • @hellenic300 Actually, you're wrong.

The Pontiac was assembled in Australia. The GTO Coupe was assembled in America. Now, I use the term "assembled" loosely, because all Pontiac had to do was put their front bar & grille on & badges, everything else, namely the LHD conversion, was done in Oz. This time, the whole thing was done in Australia. There are even pictures of the cars being driven onto a ship in Melbourne, Victoria proving this.

All that aside, it's a shame the Pontiac name is dead.

  • @hsvsv8 how am i wrong?

i've been saying that they're made in australia the whole time

it might be a shame for the yanks but the VE is going strong still here in Aus, and i can'ty wait for the VF to come out

  • @hsvsv8 Sorry mate, wrong person.

Was meant to say it to the bloke you're debating with.

  • first you yanks are buying our cars then next you'll drinking VB, eating steak sandwiches and playing cricket LOL

  • @MrGrog88 What? What a stupid comment.

  • @brin3535 if u dont understand my comment then your the idiot

  • Ford Falcon > G8

  • this guy says "uugh" alot.

  • If your so dead set wanting to continue getting the same quality and power import a holden commodore. its been the best selling australian car and car in australia for 15 years.

  • Hey that's right let's bring the Holden is their have symmetrical design for both OZs and US. I want one of those Pontiac.. I mean Holden

  • this car is australian with an american engine, thats why its good. except for the engine cuz its thirsty, and they should bring it back

  • why doesnt gm just import holden to america???

  • idk that would be a good idea thought i like there sedans alot

  • This is based on a very good Australian car. Australia builds another great car of the same size called the Ford Falcon. Ive testdriven both and the XR8 Falcon was what i bought. If only you americans got the falcon.

  • ford USA must know the fastest , best 4 door sedan on the planet is the FORD FALCON FPV F6 TYPHOON , should be global

  • @ansettnz100 no thanx

  • So typical of GM. You finally get a car "right" and kill it. And kill the entire division, too. But, it's a matter of economics. Pontiac had nothing, aside from this car, that Chevy didn't have, too.

  • @JWROWE3 IDK about that. Honestly how many Grand AMs and Grand Prix and G6 do you see floating around. Maybe its different where you are, but in WI they are EVERYWHERE.

  • @GXPFiend We're over run w/GP and GA's...the newer ones. I'd give my eye teeth for a sweet '73 GA. Remember Florida is rental car heaven, and most of those units ended up as rentals. The GP lost relevance when they dumped the coupe. The GA was just a nicer "cheap ride" with plastic cladding and speed lines.

  • @JWROWE3 The four door sedan 04-08 was HUGE. They are every where up by me in WI. Many people I know have them as well. They were definitely did not lose relevance.

  • @GXPFiend The GP just slowly became a rental car king. I never gave them a second look...until, I discovered the GXP. Holy cow, a Northstar stuffed in a GP. I have seen a few pop up on the market, but all high mileage units.

  • @JWROWE3 Yo man the Grand Prix GXP has the 5.3L LS4 in it. The Bonnie GXP had the northstar that put out like 285 compared to the LS4 that has 303. I have a couple vids of it, although I sold it now for a G8 GT.

  • @GXPFiend is that the "shortstar" engine? Or whatever it was known as when it was dropped in Oldsmobiles?

  • you are absolutly right! :) but i think is still choose a srt8 lol

  • This car gives u bang for the buck

  • Not to sound like some religious freak but I can say the demise of Pontiac has nothing do with poor sales and everything to do with globalization and bring forth the New World Order. This has all been premeditated. Everywhere I look I see Grand Prix, Grand Am, G8's and so one. If GM would have authorized Pontiac to revive the Firebird it would have probably outsold the new Camaro and GM would have made a mint.

This is all New World Order bullshit perpetrated by a few greedy fuckers.

  • So true

  • I think it's PATHETIC they are dropping pontiac instead of stupid SATURN damnit. There are pontiacs EVERYWHERE, I myself have an 04 Grand Prix that i LOVE and i guarantee it outperforms a Saturn. I wish they would keep Pontiac and get rid of the useless company Saturn, who has yet to come out with a decent looking car in my opinion, but OF COURSE they make the damn stupid decision that many people are upset over. damnit.

  • I wonder if Gm will carry this Hollden commendor over to maybe Chevy to become a new model to keep it going, cause if not what a waste.

  • DEEE1: For now, no more Commodores for the US. In australia, they have a longer wheelbase commodore called the statesman/caprice, which is also shipped to the middle east as a chevy caprice. In 2011 GM will bring that here, but only as a police package, so civilians won't be able to grab them.

Like the police Crown Victoria and Impalas of today, however, you'll probably be able to find a few available on auction in 2012-2014 when the cops give them up. Thats as close as we'll get.

  • I've read that it might become the Caprice.

  • ive seen the new caprice, the body looks similar to the G8 but the tailights look exactly like the current chevy impala. not really diggin it

  • I defiantly will be getting this sexy car as soon as I can afford it. Though mine will be a different color red. And it will eventually have a carbon fiber hood.

  • One of the best cars in the last 15 year. Period.

  • RIP Pontiac =(

  • I just traded my G8 GT for a GXP - absolutely had to do it - last chance to own a new one

  • thats a nice vauxhall VXR8....its sold in the uk as that.....but man what a car that g8 GXP....but still if i had to choose between a srt8 and a gxp........its hard to decicde....havent seen a gxp live up here in Quebec yet.....what a car!!!

  • I will be buying one as soon as it hits the used car market.

  • I love this car soooooo sad to see it go to bad ill never get to own one =(

  • The sound of the GXPs engine is beautiful! This video REALLY gives you a good idea of how this car sounds and drives. So sad to see you go Pontiac.........

  • good review..

i love my g8 to death

    pontiac :'(
