I would like to try these, but the labor alone to replace on my 03 Camry is $100 because of the air intake. I replaced my corolla plugs 25k ago with Iridium, I never heard of these until recently.
HEY PEOPLE NEW IRIDIUM TIP ELECTRODES HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED JUST A WEEK AGO!!!!! They Last for 100,000 miles!......I"M A FULL BELIEVER OF THIS PRODUCT!!! IT WORKS!!!!!!!! I GOT 40 Extra Miles Off of My Celica GT. Thats completely Bone Stock!!! Then Put a Cold air intake on and Instantly with the plug Push my tank an Extra 100-150 mile MORE with a performance Muffler from Flowmaster(no header: but that would help too).
@sidebarr7 I just happened to think... over a period of two months, fuel economy naturally degrades because the air filter and the oil are getting dirty. That could be the entire issue.
Okay I finally got my replacement plugs G3 ,They are better built and none of them broke this time ,went in smoothly,But after a few months of driveing there is no notceable differance in gas mileage.Just the facts,,this is not a put down.
I would say you are right when it comes to the specific plugs that are installed in this device. The NGK plug is an iridium plug and the Pulstar is copper and iridium definitely has a longer lifespan. However, within a couple of weeks, I will have news for my viewers that puts even the durability issue PERMANENTLY to rest.
@seancpowers that IS an NGK Iridium IX, read the insulator. The way I see it, NGK is great for durable everyday use. I'd use Pulstar for racing, short but high performance use. I would never put a Pulstar in my camry but I'd use it for an oval car.
is that bright spark just as bright under high pressures, it looks like they should be shown in a pressured box with the sort of atmosphere of a turbo charged sports car at 10,000 rpm.
In the early stages of production, the plugs were pretty fragile - you can certainly get replacements at no charge from the company if you just ask; that's what the warranty is all about. The good news is 'G3', the third major design of the plugs features a major, major improvement in the manufacturing process - the ceramic is stronger, and the way it is fused to the metal is structurally better. Sorry you had the trouble - let Enerpulse know and they will take care of you!
id like to get a set of these but at 25$ a plug its just impractical for me.. ive seen independant reviews and these had the most hp gain (8-15) but the NGK IR IX had about 7-12, and a higher torque increase. cool technology though
Yes! Your car uses size cb1i for iridium and cb1p for platinum.

@JaymezSPCM They don't burn HOTTER. They burn QUICKER. I have had them in my turbocharged Volvo S80 for a couple of years, no worries!

I am genuiley scared these would kill my beloved Saturns pistons...
JaymezSPCM 1 year ago
@JaymezSPCM My best friend has a Saturn with WAY over 100,000 miles and LOVES 'em. They won't hurt the car, guaranteed by the company.

@betrmpg So you are telling me if these plugs put holes in my pistons, the warranty will pay for my new pistons/engine?

Please dont take this comment negatively, just understand the facts.
1. The uploader is a Pulstar representative and seller.
2. The device is comparing Pulstar Pulse Plug (A high end plug) with what appears to be a no-name standard iridium plug.
3. Is the device operating fairly? (Same voltage to both plugs? etc.)
A better test would be NGK Iridium iX vs the pulstar.
Bet the NGK wins. ;)

The plugs aren't 'hotter', they just ignite the fuel more efficiently. Certainly no harm in that!
betrmpg 2 years ago
Don't hotter plugs do engine damage? This is what I've heard for years.
