not feeling this at all. Don't get me wrong, I love good preaching but every one expresses themselves differently in praise, whether it be rap, singing, whatever. And I'm tired of all this "sounding and looking like the world" I agree you shouldn't wear provocative clothing, that's obviously outta pocket. But slang? Who's to say what is slang or not? I speak multiple languages and "slang" is in the view of the speaker. I agree with holiness but folk need to worry about the inside first.

When I got the Holy Ghost the Holy Spirit "TOLD ME" what I could and could not wear so much so that he directed me to a rich lady who poured out a good portion of her warddrobe to me which was quality clothing, long-length skirts. Clothes with the tags still on them and what I noticed is that every particle of clothing covered the womans body.

What she is preaching is from the Bible; it has nothing to do with a denomination. I'm Adventist, and I can receive most of what she's saying because it's the truth anyhow!!! To all who is saying that this lady is preaching "legalism", here is a newsflash for you: she isn't.

Throughout this message, I did not hear her once say that in order for one to be saved, one has to do this, do that and do some of this. What she is saying is that if you are indeed saved - truly redeemed - the result of that would be holy living. And what constitutes holy living is the opposite of the kinds of behavior that she described.

I think it's as simple as that.

Devante, the reason Israel was set aside was because they sought Righteousness by the works of the law rather than by faith. The law is not of faith. If you are saved by works then God owes you - and God owes no man. It is purely by Grace. If works could save you, then Christ died in vain. COGIC is a man made organization. The Body of Christ is a Called Out Assembly of Believers that have been baptized ( by the Spirit not water ) into the Mystical Body of Christ. Another thing to look at is when Evangelist Kelly talks about music, she begins with the notion of contemporary music being the composition of changing the words of worldly music. WHAT? #1. If that is the case which it is not, then every COGIC that dances in church must stop, because the modern Hammond organ and drums, come from the era of the Blues, and thus was not use in worship until years later. The Gospel music sound itself hails from varying genres of secular music.

If just as I am without one plea is the prowess and premise in which we are called into right relationship with God through Jesus Christ, then how is it that the Evangelist is de-scaling fish that she has not even caught. You cant scale, season or cook fish that you have not caught. Scriptures do not support her strict legalistic views. Holiness is imputed from God through righteousness, not by works lest and of us should boast in our denominational criteria for what holiness look like.

I love her basic truth. With any period you have the extreme. I read that Holiness was a separation from things that are not according to Gods word. I will agree that alot of mess does need to stop in any period. Holiness is not the cloth on your head, the dress to the ankles.
