  • Do you need additional hardware to get the fullest performance from the i5 ?Is it not slightly useless for a nongamer like me,who's only into music editing and video creating /

  • Great videos i really enjoy watching them :D Can you please tell me what is the program that you youse for encoding Videos ?? I cant find it lol :D Ty anyways :)

  • 5:36 Fatman? :D

  • bus speed is 1337

  • @mstr4dsastr I noticed that too :D

  • Phenom X6 Black edition or i5 2500K ?

  • @juanmanuel7712 2500k

  • @juanmanuel7712 2500K

  • hate it intel sucks!

  • @yassine12ize1 LOL SORRY BOUT UR GAMD

  • @yassine12ize1 intel sucks?! -.- you need to learn..

  • Damn I wish I could OC at 4.0ghz with only 1.3V

    I'm at 4.2ghz but needed 1.47V..

But I only have 55°C maximum on charge, thx noctua nh-d14.

  • @madofmygoddess I'm having this CPU on 4,0GHZ with 1,3v p: .. It runs awesome!!!! XD

  • Very informative review. Lots of information. Good job :)

  • I have this one.

  • Hi, I collect Apple computers and I have a Mac Mini with a 2.3 GHz core i5, but I have an iMac with an intel core 2 duo 2.66 GHz. Can you tell me what is better????

  • @MrPlasticbagman12 Look into getting a Quad core.

  • @MrPlasticbagman12 You need to tell me the clock speeds and how many cores there are on both systems. There are about 20 different versions of the i5, and at least 10 different Core 2 duo's.

  • verry*

  • I am looking at building a Intel i5 2500K based server. But the focus will be on undervolting and underclocking for lowest wattage usage. This system will be powered using an M4-ATX 250Watt 12VDC power supply and fed by solar & battery. Can someone do a video on underclocking & undervolting an i5 please? .-.-.

  • My PC HardDrive- 1TB=1000Gigabyte

Windows 7 Home basic 64 bit

    2Gb DDR3 MEMORY

    Video card 1024Mb AMD RADEON

    Aspire ^____^

  • Question.

My laptop has Intel core i5-460M, Intel HD Graphics, 4GB DDR3 Memory and 500GB HDD.

Is it a good laptop to play game at? Like battlefield 3, or Minecraft?

  • @xLuCiFeRz NO

  • @BerchBG Not even minecraft?! :O

  • @xLuCiFeRz minecraft, yes but battlefield it will run but you will get relly low FPS

  • @BerchBG damn. and what should i change in my laptop to play battlefield?

  • im thick. are all intel core i5's duo/duel? just checking my macbook spec for a download software upgrade and need to know if my macbook meets the minimum spec. cheers

  • @FuturedaveyP nope ! all core i5 are not dual core CPUs .... some are dual core (i5 6xx) and some are Quad Core(i5 7xx OR i5 2300 - 2500k) like this one :) ... but all the i5's from the Sandy Bridge series are Quad Core and have great performance :)

  • Bus speed 133.7MHZ Nuff said.

  • just when I thought I was getting more techie over the rest of the lay people, this video just makes me hear some south east asian language (aside from the one I speak).

  • what's his max temp ?

  • @gusnhde93 plz if someone tells u tell me 2

  • @Ramin609 ok

  • I HATE THIS NON 2500k 'CPU !!!

  • For allround using and a little bit photoshop witch laptop should i take:

option 1: with i5 core, 4gb RAM and AMD Radeon HD6720G2

option 2: amd a6-3400, 8gb RAM and AMD Radeon HD6720G2

    ?

  • @kingkling19 I think you must go with the Core i5 as it has more processing power than a6 and Softwares like Photoshop require more power :) ..... and i5 is also good for gaming but a6 is also good for normal use :)

  • if i has a desktop with intel pentium 4 ..will core i3 processor work on it ???? plz i need an answer !!1

  • @khaledkoro No the Pentium 4 is a different socket type of the core i series

  • Any body intrested in buying a i5 750 for only 180 euro's?

  • @nerbwalk3r

    contact me pls.

  • @exitrade it is 760 and it is a little bit cheaper as i told, 150 :)

  • @nerbwalk3r

i'm fine with that to :) .. so how you will send me?

    PS: Where are you from?

  • @exitrade do you have steam? its from a friend, he will tell you everything :) if you got steam add me and i will give his steam: nerbwalk3r

  • is it better for overclocking than a i5 760?

  • can it use on my HM55 motherboard?

  • and im planning this to get on my new rig :D

  • Comment removed

  • @fcukphzr yeah it requires a ddr3 mobo theres a lot of cheap ddr3 mobo now

  • when you go to Corei chips they are all fast

  • is this better than i7 ?

  • @zawette Performance-wise, no.

But from a value standpoint, in most cases, yes it is better.

However, at this point in time, I'd go with a sandy bridge processor if you're building from scratch.

I would recommend a Core i5 2500k for overclocking, its not to hard to get to 4 gHZ without an insane cooler :)

  • @zawette Noo...

  • Is this ok for a game such as world of Warcraft?

  • @killingman22 way more than enough

  • @killingman22 OMG FOR WOW IS A GAMEBOY ENOUGPH XD

  • @StefanB95 piss off ho

  • @iTzDANiiEL shut your fucking ass u fucking fuckbag DIE !~!

  • @DeMoN7090

    1. you are stupid

    2. fuck you

    3. there is no "thumbs up" enabled in this fucking video.

  • @eXxtrazZz 4. read number 1 5. no ty i aint gay 6. i dont fucking care

  • @Warfreak57 wow u are fucking stupid.. AMD is way better then stupid intel. They are way better and cheaper.. how possibly x6 phenom amd can overheat? u are so stupid.. intel i7 is not 7 cores i7 is 6 cores i5 is 4 cores i3 is 2 cores.. intel fucking sucks..

  • @eXxtrazZz no hes rite i have over cloked a amd processer before and the fucker burned out in a hour i now have the i5 overcloked it the same way and the temperture hasent gone near than amd thumbs up for INTEL!

  • I would rather buy AMD pheonom ii X6 (hex cores) 1090t 3.3 GHz....its cheaper aswell lmao...

  • @S3RB4LIF3 cheaper huh?, AMD processors suck. they overheat and gets hot easily. so you need an electric fan + airconditioner, worth?

  • May you tell me what mean Die Size ?

  • wow i've got an i3 and I wonder if I could ever overclock it ... it's 2.26 ghz.... please someone tell me how to do so..

  • @Hamuda92 I suggest, for a laptop-based cpu it can't be overclocked right from bios right? or I wonder if there is any overclocking softwere though which I can impove my laptop performence........ please reply and I appreciate your help.........

  • core i3 550 is better or core i3 2100

550 has 4mb cache but the latest 2100 has 3 mb.

  • i5 ore i7 ? wich one shall i get

  • @xBinHD if you have the money then go for an i7 ... it can be overclocked to beat up the speed of light bro!! looool

  • @Hamuda92 lololol i'm reading your massage on my new laptop that has a intel core i7 xD!!

  • @xBinHD gr8 :D ... good for you .. I feel regretful indeed... I should have bought the i7 but unfortunately didn't have enough money.. so I bought an i3-integrated laptop.. that's alright ... I still have my super pc :P looool

  • @Hamuda92 xD i'm now extra happy b/c my hd pvr works on this laptop :O

  • @xBinHD yes it does.. why not... :D

  • @Hamuda92 whell b/c it didn't worked on my old laptop...

  • @xBinHD hmmmmmm i'm glad it works then.. good luck ;)

  • Wow great performance from the i5. very impressive.

  • What is the name of the songs introduction?I say about this Heavy metal.

    Tks !

  • i have a question!!! guyss... is it normal that im getting 44/46c on minimum load only on browsing??? thnks in advance!

  • Comment removed

  • @KINGof100KINGs Those temps seem kinda high, what are your case temps?

  • @FaLc336 :S .... case temps??? like ambient!! if so 27/29

  • @Aaronage1 That is, to put it very simply, a bald faced lie. The very opposite of the truth in fact. Intel TDP numbers are very conservative and a typical i5 will run at well under the published figure even when heavily loaded. It's AMD chips that draw massive amounts of power and often exceed published TDP at stock frequencies. What are you, a Republican? A FOXsnooze broadcaster? You can't just make shit up and expect people to believe it. We're not all as stupid as you would like us to be.

  • @COLDB33R Love the random and completely irrelevant political comments there.

Intels TDP ratings are more conservative than AMDs. They even state seperately a max power draw figure, which for an i5 750 is 189w (according to CPU-World). If I was to get nit picky I could bring up the fact that Sandy Bridge doesn't even stay within TDP for Turbo, it can break the TDP during Turbo.

  • I have an intel core i5 750 but it is clocked at 3.0-3.1Ghz

I checked this with CPU-Z is that an right program to use?

  • hey um question if the i7 920 @ 2.6ghz is 16k score what would the i7 960 @ 3.2ghz score be?? thnx

  • Nice review awosme review as always dude .. really great..

But bang for buck I think i'll go AMD PHENOM II X6 1100T 3.30G/2000/9M/AM3

    and performance is oustanding !

GIGABYTE GA-890FXTA-UD5 I heard is a great board for this processor.

I have also bought the Gigabyte 5870 DD5 850 - 4800 speeds which are exellent and run cool.

I will finally build again akiller system with a 60 inch del screen and get back into gaming once again

    EvilQTip shall rise again! muhahaha

  • i have this. today i buy.

  • I do not like Intel but it seem smost manufacturers especially Dell use the Intel CPU instead of the AMD one.

  • Can any i5 core running with GTX 460 on computer?

  • Comment removed

  • @radu513 you should remove you comment its soo embrasing

  • WAY BETTER thatn the Intel COre 2 Quad processors The new Intel COre i5 Second generation oversee and expect more than most common processors not to mention the intel core i7.

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • Bus Speed = 133.7 MHz , awesome.

  • whats the different between this and i5 750s?

  • will it work on tropical country like phiipppines? its hot in here..

  • What is crossfire?

Yes im new to all this ;(

  • @91splash 2 amd or ati graphics cards who connect toghether for bette performance by crossfire bridge, if the cards are from nvidea, it's called SLI, but is bassicly the same

  • @91splash Crossfire is a technology created by AMD thatnallows two AMD video cards to run in the same system.

Nvidia cards can do the same thing but they call it SLI instead of crossfire.

  • is i5 better then Core 2 Quad ??

  • @inTubeHD very much the c2q did not L3 cache

  • It's somewhat overwhelming given choice and availability, I'm looking to mate a i series CPU with my new board, the Microstar H55 HD to use for BluRay and gaming, onboard video via the CPU, and optional PCIe card, which is only 2.0 spec. That socket board is 1156, and it's my one and only for the new i series, this CPU may cost $150 in my local market

  • Is the i5 760 Better than this?

  • Which is better in terms of gaming?

i5 or i7 im talking about games like mw2

  • @91splash both are good... but look closely i5-600s are dual core and the i5-700s are where the quad core starts i beleave

  • @MaddLagger i'm gonna go with i5 ;)

  • my pc is:

    Intel i5

    4gB ramDDR3

    ATI Radeon HD 5470...

if i want to upgrade it to make it faster,,what should i upgrade first?

now i still experience performance issue when playing games...

  • @AreYie93ae graphic card, of cause, 5470 is not enough for gaming, you may find for some mid to high end card,

    I got the core i5 760

and i am using the gtx 570 which is a high end card

  • @altu892 do i have to upgrade my processor?

  • @AreYie93ae I think your processor will be very good even if your core i5 is dual core. a gaming system most important part is the graphic card and there is still a lots of people using the dual core processor, so just get a better card instead of buying a new processor.

  • @altu892

Plus a good GPU takes alot of work load off of the CPU. The i5 has two logical cores in each "core" giving it four threads while a standard dual core only can do two threads, plus windows uses it as a quadcore. And the graphics for gaming are good with it's HD graphics, though it does slow down if you try and use pinnacle for your game, though I have yet to test call of duty. A new CPU does make some difference in gaming, especially for AI and using pinnacle

  • Ok I wanna build:

    Intel i5

    4gb ram DDR3

    Ati Radeon 5670

Recommend me Case and Motherboard please

  • The Q9650 is old news. The i5 750 has Turbo alone that kicks all over that over-priced Q9650. Every benchmark I've done the i5 750 is 30% faster then any old duo core and old quad core including the Q9650.

  • I think Q9650 is better than i5 750 in a comparizon cpu-to-cpu. But in a comparizon system to system i5 wins due to memory controller...

  • @Mettabosna

I can recommend It to you. All games run perfect, from the newest to the oldest, no lags, all maximum quality! Recommended with Windows 7 64bit!

  • 4gb ram

    intel core i5 750

    ATI Radeon HD 5770 series

    windows 7 premium 64b

    and it's

    perfect computer!

  • @144bulldog it depends on the use of the pc ;)

  • @144bulldog nice i will buy almost the same

  • @144bulldog i have 8 gb ram ^^. lol urs is wat i have! except for the ram

  • @sold1ier

    :-)

  • what about 670?

  • Love ur vids.

  • The i5 750 CPU is amazing. I've had mine for over a year and have never had any issues with it. It's one solid CPU. I'd buy it again. At the moment I'd pop for the i5 760 if it was available back last October 2009.

  • @wickedout2010 what the different between 750 and 760?

  • @pdani72 Only difference is the stock clock speed, and I'm assuming it would also have a higher multiplier.

  • Comment removed

  • window 7 Ultimate only supports maximum of 2 cores which Im still wondering why ppl go for quad cores or 6 cores...because the maximum quantity of physical processors of a PC that Windows supports is: 2.. So pls do explain this, pls tell me quad core or 6cores works if it only supports 2.. Im using the AMD quad 965 BE myself

  • im retarded at computers but how do u overclock

  • @DeMVanAap man i really wanna help you but im not in USA and i dont know how to explain it in english sorry im still studing english :( search on google

  • hello wich is better?

    AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2GHz

or Intel core i5 750? 2.6GHz i want a good compuer for CAD and highend games

  • @Mettabosna i5 750 is much better, the i5 750 has 8MB CACHE L3

and the phenom II x4 955 just have 6MB CACHE L3

thats why the i5 750 is much faster

  • @frank141289 the i5 750 is slightly faster becuase it makes more operations per clock cycle. it hasn´t anything to do with the cache.

the intel cache is mirrored so i5 750 can store 8 MB in it´s cache. the phenom II 955 cache is not mirrored(more like raid 0) so l1+l2+l3 ends up to 8.5.

the AMD cache is 48,16,4,4 way while the intel is 16,8,4,8 way so it´s better at when it comes to that to.

so the phenom II 955 cache is mutch better.

  • @adolf512 then if the phenom 955 cache is much better why the i5 750 win in all the benchmarks ? and 8mb of cache L3 are faster than 6 mb of cache L3 everywhere you see it, if the processor has more cache can store more information and communicates with the memory faster, thats why a intel i5 750 or 760 can beat a phenom II x6 1050t in many stuff, just go to google and search for some benchmarks, im not a fan boy cuz i always say that the phenom is better than any core 2 quad but..........

  • @frank141289 benchmarkprogram often uses the intel C-kompiler. the c.kompiler forses a AMD cpu to run in handikapping x86 mode. that´s why intel is "faster" in these benchmarkprograms.

in cinebench AMD x4 beats any i5 cpu. in modern warefare phenom II x4 and x6 beats i7 980x. modern warfare is a example of aplication favorating amd arkitekture, so it´s just about which benchmarkprograms you look at.

  • @frank141289 Why is it? I don't understand Intel's chips at all, like for instance the Phenom II X3 740 3 ghz is better than a Core i5 @ 3.47 ghz but then the i5 750 is a measly 2.66 ghz and beats out the Phenom II X4 955 3.2 ghz @_@ does that make any sense. Honestly I really don't care though both AMD and Intel make great processors. For the price you can't beat AMD. I bought a Phenom II X3 740 for a bargain price of $69, similar Intel's in the performance range would have cost 2-3 times more.

  • @esca8652 like i said before, the i5 750 and i5 760 beat any phenom II x4 because it have more CACHE L3 so is faster plus the i5 750 and 760 have turbo boost, when the processor needs more power the i5 overclock it self to 3.33ghz

you got to put in mid that turbo boost is really helpfull thats another reason of why the i5 750,760 are better than phenom II x4 but phenom II x4 are better than any quad core (price/performance) all depends on what you want to with the processor

  • @esca8652 note: the only i5 that can beat a phenom II x4 are i5 750 and i5 760

the other models of intel core i5 are overpriced piece of shit

  • @adolf512 the i5 750 and 760 is better than any phenom II x4 and can beat in games and some stuff the phenom II X6, the phenom II x6 is better for work in my opinion and the phenom IIx4 are better than the core 2 quad but the i5 750 and 760 are way better than any phenom II x4

  • @frank141289 and the i5 760 quad is better then 750?

  • @Mettabosna a little bit

  • @Mettabosna i am a AMD guy and i think the intel cpu is slightly better(depending at what you do). i would go for phenom II x4 c3 witch is 200 MHZ faster than phenom 955 but uses the same power.

but i don´t think the cpu is the most crucial component(especialy when it comes to heacy games).

mostly the GPU, HDD and ram <3GB is bottelnecking. so ensure to take 4 GB ram and HD 6870, HD 6850 or better.

frank121289 is wrong about the cache. the amd cpu is better at that(8.5 insted of 8 effektive)

  • @adolf512 hey thx. i ordering my pc now.

    Its

    i5 760 2.8 GHz Quad

    XFX radeon 5770 HD 1gb

    4 gb RAM

    450 Watt

  • @Mettabosna i think it will work greate for everything except for have graphic games like crysis, but you can always upgrade later on if you want.

  • The best and cheap CPUs Intel ever made are Intel Core i5 750 and 760!

  • What's bottlenecking?

  • @ClawTubeUnlimited lowering a high end part's performance because another part is running too slowly. For example, a Radeon 5450 will bottleneck a i7 980X in games, because the graphics card is not lowering performance, even though you have a thousand dollar CPU

  • how many cores?

  • @masterkent18 4 cores and 4 threads

    means no hyperthreading

  • :( Y DOESN'T THIS PROCESSOR HAVE HYPER-THREAd TECHNOLOGY ??????..........

  • @MovadoDaSaint No it doesn't.

If you are a gamer HT doesn't matter but if you use heavy multithreated applications you will see the difference. (With HT is about 25% faster while using all 8 threads)

  • did a good job man, i feel really good about purchasing this cpu along with my ASUS mother board. its a P55 chipset mobo ASUS P7P55D EVO LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard. some people were giving it a hard time but ASUS has never steered me wrong before, and with MEMok! i should have no issues using my old 2x2 4 gig 1600 mhz ram sticks.

  • amd is better

  • @vmn1451 ya... if you are poor

  • Very Good Video Review ;)

Would love to know what software you used for the Rendering test.. ;)

  • So here's my question, the older MacBook Pros came with Intels Core Duo Processor and I would opt for the 2.66GHz model which is considerably cheaper than their new ones fitted with either an i5 or i7 processor. Would a smaller but more expensive "i" processor significantly outperform the core duo or would the 2.66GHz do fine for what i'm using it for? any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you

  • @Dazabon With producing music its all about the cpu's power, the intel i5 has more threads, smaller architecture, and capable of faster speeds than any Core 2 series. Go with a quad core i5 760, it will be perfect for the intended use.

  • Hey, I have a question or two regarding this topic and i was hoping you could help me out. Now bare with me because when it comes to technical lingo regarding computers i'm useless.

So basically i'm into dj-ing and i've recently started producing my own music. However, our home pc isn't up to scratch so i've decided to invest in a MacBook Pro. It's what i've been advised to go for by other music producers. The laptops sole purpose will be to produce music using Daw's such as Ableton.
