I must agree with some of the comments listed. I am not a hard rock fan; but, I accidently found this Obsession Confession, maybe, ten years ago and I was immediately hooked. Then lost my cassette tape and have gone nuts for several years trying to get another tape. Finally found the song on YouTube and the link stays on my desk top. I'm ashamed to admit it; but, it's like an addiction. If I remember correctly, "Curdles" or "Curdled" is the correct name of the album.

HOLY SHIT, I never knew that Slash did this piece! I've heard it before on the local jazz station in my area, but I never found out who it was done by! I'm impressed at how diverse his style of guitar playing can be! From the hard, gritty riffs of his GNR days to a soft, flamenco style tune like this piece here! Amazing!

Spanish guitar is a type of guitar that has a unique sound. Flamenco is a type of Latin beat, mostly used to refer to dance. Jazz is a general catagory of musical styles refering to the way the music is composed in a free form with complex melody and scales.

This music is a flamenco beat performed on Spanish guitar, but not really in a jazz form. However it would probably be put in the jazz guitar genre and played on smooth jazz radio.

Wow, how come everyone says this is jazz? This is a flamenco inspired track, and althoug it might have been recieved well by jazz musicians, does not make it jazz.

I don't know if you listen to smooth jazz or not, but if you do, I think you would have to admit, this sounds a lot like the style. A lot of other smooth jazz is played on nylon string as well (e.g., Earl Klugh).

I do not worry about what "style" something might (arguably) seem to fall into, only whether or not it sounds good. This song definitely does. My hats off to Slash.

He did a good job with Guns N' Roses too. I am not surprised he would put out something like this.
