  • Always loved The Feelgoods. Saw them in the 70s, brilliant! The present Dr. Feelgood are keeping the music alive (though sadly without any original members?) ... and Wilco is still at his 'barking' best!

Thanks for posting this, though it does remind me that we had to put up with vaccuous, f@ck-wit, presenters before we got to hear the music. ;)

  • I'm only 48 and a half and I LOVE Dr Feelgood.....do I win £5 ?

  • What the fuck is the presenter wearing??

  • Awesome band. Real Attitude.

  • Brilliant. RIP Lee

  • i am 19, in a few moths till 20. and i really love dr. feelgood.

  • not being a brat and braging about music taste, but i have a really have a good music taste, just 'cause i love music and i know the more i learn about it, the less i know it, and i've known dr. feelgood for a few months, after a friend of mine telling me for years that i should hear it cause i would love it and its great; well, its fucking great alright.

  • all of that just to get to the bottomline: age means nothing. ive come to meet some REALLY young kids that know real music.

younger than me. and i find it brilliant. the real proof that real and good music will never fade.

  • these should of been massive,..

  • Brilliant. Just brilliant.

  • i was only 5 at the time but it would've been great if i could've seen them live!! love the choppy guitar

  • I'm only 28 now, and I love Dr Feelgood. I know how you feel.

  • Feelgood were the best band i ever saw. Its great that Wilko and Steve Hooker (from the same "Pub Rock" backgroud) are still ripping it up

  • This is from Geordie Scene - one of the earliest TV shows Dr Feelgood appeared on. It was recorded live on 7th February 1975 in Newcastle by Tyne Tees tv. The songs played were "She does it right", "Boom boom", "All through the city", "Roxette", "Riot in cell block #9", "I don't mind" and "Route 66".

  • from Geordie Scene i think, great show great band

  • fabulous set...Lee and Wilko unbelievable

  • They are live legends!

  • The drummer "the big figure" is my dad....how proud am i!!!!

  • He really is an exceptional drummer. You've every right to be proud!

  • @jodflod He is one of my favourite all time drummers mate. Tight as heck....

  • @jodflod Good on you son! Those guys were the nuts back in the day!

  • Tight sound. Full of energy. Rock on Lee. RIP mate

  • I found myself in the phonebook lately. It was in the dictionary right next to the picture of a wanker.

    thanks for the video.

    Paul Tettamanti

  • This is from one of the best rock shows ever, I forget the name, probably Geordie Beat or Tyne Beat, but it used to screen early evening & featured all the best in contemporary rock & pop.

  • They are great!!

  • the DJ's a wanker pretending to be jimmy saville

  • it's quality rock n roll... pub rock was a term used by pretentious wankers like the nme

  • This reminds me of the white stripes a bit for some strange reason. I think Jack White would love to see this band

  • The birth of pub rock ?

  • Nope. This was the culmination of pub rock. The best of the pub-rockers (Dr Feelgood, Eddie & The Hot Rods and only one or two others) prefigured and influenced punk and were, ultimately, overtaken by it.

  • amazing stuff, thanks

  • one of my favorite videos ever. I just can't get over the guitar sound.

  • Fantastic footage. Apart fom the host. RIP Lee Brilleaux, and thanks for everything.

  • YES!

    I love Wilko's and Spark's walking.

    Unique!

  • that presenter is a dope.

    Dr.Feelgood are awesome.

  • The MC5 having done time. Speed, attack, drama and a cool lyric...it's all over for Emerson Lake and Palmer.

  • Wholy cow!! That is a band! So greta to see this. I hope this era of the Feelgoods influences way to many bands. Please listen to this stuff.

  • what is that presenter wearing?

    great perforamce by dr feelgood..

    good post

  • god only knows what that half wit is wearing,? haha and he can stick his stotty cake up his hole too

  • Always loved the feelgoods ,now i am proud to say wilkos my 12 year old sons guitar hero He copies his style pretty well and that means they will be respected for years to come.

  • I've got to say that at the age of 14 - this band on this TV show - changed my life forever. I sold all my hippy crap LPs for next to nothing - Punk was just around the corner and the Feelgoods were the shocktroopers paving the way.

  • I saw them play Back in the night on a kids program when I got home from school one day in the mid seventies. It was something else, and so out of place on the program. Like you, it has influenced me ever since. Then I got to see them for the first time at the Cambridge Corn Exchange. Oh sweet jebers, what a show.

  • I love Brilleaux's barely restrained violence - he always looks like he's about to headbutt someone!

  • 17 february 1975.

  • Awesome - THE brit R&B band.... Lee was the ultimate frontman. Current feelgoods are very weak by comparison

  • They came to watch Boney M and this is what they got :)

    Wilko is THE DADDY!
