  • goed ja toch

  • Eh ben, si c'est ça le seul rêve des petites filles musulmane (ou le seul rêve autorisé) ... AU SECOURS !!!!

  • very disturbing

  • I'm not Muslim, but I love the idea of Fulla dolls and what they represent.

  • I dont think girls are obliged to wear abayas, however they just do. Sometimes, while living in Qatar, I would meet a Qatari woman not wearing a black abaya, it is their choice. It does help to distance themselves from the huge expatriate community in Doha.

  • 0,0 her hijab (i think that's the name of the long dress) is beautiful, even if it simple, i love it.

  • @HachikoScher Abaya

  • @n5017858

     thanks ^^

  • The real issue is, Fulla was created to still believing that women are sexually defined by their bodies. Either they expose it like Barbie or they hide it like Fulla, but the problem is still in the eyes of the beholder, who thinks feminine figures are, in essence, sexual symbols. Fulla is not better than Barbie just because she wears a hijab... her songs are better, though.

  • I cant belive 12 people hate this .

  • I never can understand why muslin women are forced (not always, but often) to wear the full burka. I mean, why can't they just dress modestly? What is the need to only show their eyes or their face if they're radical about it.

But I do like the idea of this doll :)

  • @Orlabobz dunno if everyone agrees with this reason, but a teacher (from libano) told me this: woman are forced to wear the full outfit so the strength of the tradition isn't lost, is they allowed woman to dress different on the streets, little by little the tradition would be lost and they would be the same as the occident.

as said, i don't know if everyone agrees with this reason or if it is even correct.

but in my opinion, woman look gorgeous with the burkas too, like mysterious and wise.

  • excllent

  • i want her hair...haha

  • @G6157

    ^_^

  • @G6157

No. She's an alternative to Middle-Eastern children. Barbie is targeted at Western girls, because Western girls can identify with Barbie. They wouldn't understand Fulla. Same with the Middle-East. They don't identify with Barbie, she looks and dresses different from them. Fulla fits their taste. It's a cultural doll, not a religious puppet.

  • yeah.....like every little girl seeing this wants to frolic in the field in a burka with her friends!

  • @SexyGreekBaby89

No, they don't. However, these are not burqas. These are abayas with shayla veils. And that is a cultural and not religious item. No one is offended when Americans advertise topless women from various African countries like Nigeria, Sudan, or Ethiopia. But when a woman appears in traditional dress in the Gulf, it's degrading. This is not right. Granted, in places like Iran women are forced to cover, but Saudi Arabia is not one of them.

  • ı lovvvvve youuuuu fullaaaaaaa...........

  • Dress however you want, it shouldn't affect who you are or how people treat you x If you want to wear a hijab, that is absolutely fine x

  • This is stupid. If you are a REAL woman, you know what you are wearing. Yeah, I wear short skirts, but because I like them. I dont wear short skirts because Im hot ior because I want to dress for boys

  • @Vi0c0iV i dont care !! what respect are u talking about? im sorry ,i can't respect som1 stupid da! som1 living like an animal ! coz i definitely want u to tell me the difference between u and an animal. all u do is sleep ,eat and have sex. but u know why i insulted u?? coz i looooooooooove God more than anything , he's been always by my side and any STUPID creature denying his truth will be punished like hell.

  • i used 2 hav a fulla doll frm when my grandad went on a business trip 2 america i cant remember wat she was dressed as but i made her the boss at my barbie dolls' shop nd the barbies were jst the cashiers nd stockers nd stuff :P

  • Does anyone know where i can download this song?

  • @Elothriel

You can use "atube catcher" program to download any youtube vedio

  • I didn't say that they had to...it's just that the doll teaches people that it's not socially acceptable not to wear one. I don't object to the fact that Fulla Barbie is modest, but what exactly are they trying to teach about femininity? It's the same reason I don't like Barbie herself - they are two extremes on the end of the same spectrum. Barbie is an uber-sexualized, unrealistic portrayal of a woman, while Fulla is reserved, covered, and submissive to a fault.

  • @ilovejesus84 well thats really weird coz urself need to get preached! im sorry for been rude but if u really wanna talk seriously give me one justification to become christian !!!

  • nice video and song thanks tony

  • i don't think its all about clothes for a doll, like barbie, true she does teach good values, but this doll teaches certain values the a good,so its not all about covering and modesty.

  • OMG

  • kind of takes away the purpose of the doll as the only different thing a barbie has is the clothes, but fulla needs to be modest and cover up.

they indoctrinate girls into covering up because they are perves(what kind of monsters feel the little girl should cover up in case someone is turned on by her!!!)

  • @touriaification

Well, apparently, people are turned on by her counterpart Barbie, which is why women out there are killing themselves to look like her. The objective of the Fulla doll is to help women understand that modesty is a virtue; it's not so much that the doll is covered to prevent some perverse douchebag from getting a boner by looking at it wearing revealing clothes or something like that.

    ya dig?

  • you dont know arabs, i do, i was refering to the perverts i have seen, you need to live among these wankers to realise how sick they are (not all of them of course). Plus the real barbie is pretty much in the image of a gorwn woman/teenager not a child....ya dig?

  • Sweetheart, try reading the comment first. I said the exact same thing. ya dig?

  • honeypot yes i do understand, maybe i didnt make it clear (sorry), i meant that for the fulla 'admirers' its even worse than the Barbie case. ya dig?lol

  • No, I don't dig because you're obviously half-assing your writing so I can't decipher what it is that you're saying. Tell me, how is this case worse than the Barbie?

  • @SKITTLESANDMNMS Barbie had a name change when she moved from West Germany to America. She was originally called Lili Bild. I will let you explore her origin.

My little girl has many Fulla dolls, and we are Australian.

  • @SKITTLESANDMNMS fulla is there to make girls hide themselves...

and barbie is a slut. they both suck

  • WTF?

  • @alainmichael - I guess you'd only have to buy one out fit. So it's cheaper. No accessories to buy either.

  • So let me get this right, Fullah is like the equivalent of barbie but less skankier and more pure? That is what I am gathering. Barbie wears some pretty revealing things for children to have to wrap their minds around

  • I agree a bit. I wouldn't have a problem with my (future) daughters having a Fulla doll, but not wearing the burka or using the prayer mat, since I'm a Christian.

  • @goose1212343 lolol well said!

  • @goose1212343

Excuse me? If I'm incorrect, ALL the artist here are MEN, not women. THey aren't trying to "re-create" what "allah" created. They are representing.

  • The song is cute but I'm not the biggest fan of the dolls.

  • what does the song mean?

  • vive les arabes!! et vive l'algérie

  • errrrr ok

  • im big fan of fulla's songs they are all cute and amazing

  • i really like this song and like fulla coz its arabic islamic doll wearing abaya ...

  • They're cute (I've got this Fulla, too), but when they dance on the grass with that black abaya they look like Death!!!!

  • Fulla is nicer and more modest in comparison to Barbie, but I dislike the implication in a bunch of these videos that girls have to wear the abaya or hijab. I think I might like her better if she was more assertive sometimes.

  • I don't think it is implied! But where Fulla comes from it is just normal and a cultural value. If you produce a Barbie wearing a string bikini it doesn't imply, that a woman has to wear a string bikini ; )

  • It actually is implied, they are trying to encourage girls to wear them, as are Muslim mothers.

Not all I'm sure, but a lot.

  • and that is very good i think

  • Of course, because all women should act the same and not express their personality. All women should be objects. -_-

  • No, they aren't, they are like companions, but equal to men. They just have different roles in life.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes it is! "The message that Fulla brings ... is promoting good virtues for little girls," said Basel Kanawati, chief technology officer for NewBoy, the company that created Fulla. "It's asking girls to take pride in themselves and not dress for boys and be the sex symbols that other dolls tend to be." Kanawati, who lives in Charlotte, N.C., said the doll fills a void for parents and girls who want a doll that looks like them and represents their values.

  • @Shachah223 That's actually just to condition litlle girls for their future men's slave lifes

  • @VanilleDixit

That may be true for some girls, but not very many. Actually, slave life happens much more frequently in America.

  • @Shachah223 In waiting for, i don't think it's in these countries that there's more girls than boys in university and as much girls as boys as doctor, dentists, writer or teacher ...

  • @weleanin

They have women's universities I think, although the venue for women having jobs is very small, things are getting hopeful. ^_^ In Israel it's like Europe, and Jordan. Dubai is a very liberal country, I might add. There is some very serious issues concerning respect of women and their value, but Fulla isn't bringing that. She's teaching girls something that is respectable and worthy of recognition.

  • @Shachah223 Dubai is a country ?

of course, i don't say there's no women in these university, i just say that even if some arabic people (and even european) think european girls are just 'sexual items' i say no, (not only XDDD), they are 57 % of people in university...

but recognition of what ? (sorry for my english ><')

  • @weleanin

    SOrry! No it's a city. I meant the U.A.E.!

No. Women of any race or nationality are not sexual items. It's degrading and abusive to see women as such. What do you mean by universities?

    (It's okay!)

  • @Shachah223 Yes, but sometimes, i thing that saoudian people and others things Westerns girls are just sexual items ... =/

    I mean girls are 57 % in universities/colleges.

  • Yeah, many of them do. It's tragic, isn't it?

Oh you mean girls demographically make up only half of the universities. I see.

  • @Shachah223 hum yes ........

  • @weleanin

    Ok. :-)

  • @Shachah223 x)

  • @Shachah223 good virtues like wearing a burka?......i mean Niqab?

  • @SexyGreekBaby89

You only see burqa's in the U.A.E. or Oman. And their burqa's are different than the Afghan burqa, because Afghan burqa's are never black.

If a woman wants to wear niqaab, there is no wrong done. It's when she is forced by external forces by what ever means that it becomes wrong.

  • @Kiffraji The girls I know in Qatar wear an Abaya because they choose to, I did not see any evidence that the Qatari ladies where forced to wear an abaya. Choosing to dress and behave like a "man", or wearing nothing at all, really does not make our western women more "feminine" at all.

  • FULLA IS THE BEST

  • forte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! braviiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like fulla, cuz they wear, abaya =D

  • Eww!

  • I am a fan of Fulla, even as an atheist, because she promotes women not conforming to society's views of how 'pretty' girls look because she doesn't need to look beautiful to feel beautiful. She is pretty, though. She doesn't need large breasts. Of course if she had them, no big deal, but everyone is fine the way they are and you should grow up a bit.

  • well thank you for your defending and i know in the world there always be good and bad people but we shouldn't judge them for what they are or what they look like or even what they wear but what they do.right? you know ... i'm a Muslim , Arabian and Egyptian and i'm very proud of it because that what i'm and what My god creates me. so i don't know how foreign people think of us and i don't even care because i believe that everyone has ability to be good or bad he just have to think and choose

  • @InfernapesFlame yeah youre right, instead of showing our breasts we should hide ourselves ! we are so pretty that noone else deserves to see us ! every girl should hide herself ! we are to beautiful to be seen :D

  • @InfernapesFlame oh my god ! u say im an atheist like ure really proud !! i feel disgusted really ! and ure arabic obviously so ...... im really chocked to find people like u in this world, what a shame !!! u atheist think ure so smart ,well here's the thing ,u have no brain , if u did contemplate in god's creatures u wouldnt dare to deny god's existence ; but u know what , when u die u'll find the truth urself when u get tortured 4EVER

  • @InfernapesFlame She don't need to look beautiful ? So why is she ???????

  • @weleanin What I mean is, the outfit helps us realize women are beautiful even WHEN they don't LOOK beautiful, appearence-wise. She herself is.

  • @InfernapesFlame I still do not understand >< she is beautiful ! XDDD

  • @weleanin yes, she is <3

  • Amazing song!

    I adore Fulla*

    Thanks alot :)

  • This is my favorite Fulla song!

  • FULLA IS THE BEST

  • FULLA IS THE BEST.

  • I didn't know fulla had so many theme songs =D this is my favorite one now. I LOVE fulla! (I'm 21 and my husband bought me one, hehehe).

  • Aaw thats cute to know! =D
