In the anime I very strongly believe naruto is going to become hokage fight sasuke last and die right when he kills him, just like he boldly said when sasuke nearly killed sakura. There might be some filler movie where they become a happily ever after pair, but I doubt itll happen in the anime. Kishimoto also stated there wasnt going to be romance, but people change i hope.
