It's ironic that Hitler chose to attack during bad weather in order to negate Allied air power and in doing so, the advantage that German tanks had was negated also. Shermans knocked out a lot of tigers and panthers in this battle. Hitler really screwed up in ordering this attack but it did hasten the end of the war. The Americans really showed how well they could fight.

this is the American Side of the story and the other one, Panzer Attack, is the Story of the Germans.

I respect the Germans and have German ancestry and many served the Reich, however, this particular German needs to realize he lost. The "running Americans" defeated him and the Wehrmacht.

keep in mind the programs are for Americans and Canadians and your average person wants to hear about there side.

the bulge should not have happened . im currantly reading Citizen Soldiers and in the book civilians warned the us that the germans were building up their forces and were going to attack.

I would have to say that the US and Allied Forces in the Bulge were very lucky, because the Battle of the Bulge was Hitler's Last Major Blunder of WWII, also because the units and equipment used in the Bulge Offensive was Hitler's Last Reserves.

But, if Hitler hadnt decided to take the gamble of using his remaining forces, the War in the West wouldve probably end in the Summer or Winter of 1945.
