The problem is that what happens when the church modifys or changed the apostolic tradition. i thnk the biggest thing that the church has going for it is the liturgy, however, the litugy has been modifyed and chaged and well as the docterine. The pope really should have to teach anything. There shouldn't be anything added to it. He just needs to correct errors. Vatican 1 and 2 are an abomination. Long before that though, they left the apostolic teaching and we have to find it over again.
