i would have liked to have heard sid speak more. but, i heard from the pistols' interviews that he was pretty softspoken and quiet, so I guess Nancy was his voice, in a sense.

Poor Nancy. She was so young.
People give her such a hard time.
But she was mentally unstable and needed help from childhood. The drugs must've made it 10x worse.
I feel for her. Or who she was.
All this crap about how she ruined Sid, just because they got together. Yeah, I'm sure the son of a drug addicted mother would've never gotten been hit so hard by drugs if it wasn't for Nancy.

I know, I never really cared much for Nancy Spungen but then I read this novel by her mother and it's absolutely heart-breaking. This was a mentally unstable, possibly schizophrenic, girl who never really got the help that she truly needed.

I agree; its such a very sad book. I have it, and have re-read it a couple of times. It makes me feel very sad indeed that nowadays a kid like Nancy would be helped, in her day she was just rejected by professionals who didnt have answers. Heartbreaking is correct.
