Confusing report out of New York that the Prof is panhandling while stating he lives in a 3 million buck apartment and says he donates what he gets to charity. New Yorkers, please look out for and protect this national treasure!
omg what a fun clip. i had forgotten about him until i read it was his birthday today. 97 wow! i had loved him in my childhood and missed him. great to see these clips. thanks for posting
My wife and I laughed out loud watching this, and we don't get enough of that! Thank you for uploading this prime clip of the world's greatest authority.
@kokolanza Yesterday Rush Limbaugh listed Erwin first when asked of his comedic influences. Hmmm.. Never thought Erwin was big time. Good expressions like Red Skelton, though.
@DexterHaven49 Thanks Dexter. This may not be the first time Rush & I have agreed on anything, but it's good to know that humor can transcend politics!
Yes, Professor Irwin Corey was a great comedian. I was fortunate to meet him in NYC,,,,in the 70's. He was a down to earth, kind man, who, stood at the stage door of the theater, speaking to me at great length! (Other "stars" of the show, passed us by without so much as a hello!)...I will always cherish that memory!
Hilarious! Every time I see some blowhard politician speak for 10 minutes and say absolutely nothing, I am reminded of Prof Irwin Corey. the difference is that we know Corey is a comic - not so sure about the politicians
Watch him on the Merv Griffin show and he coin the phrase Federal Army General to mean a particular group of people. Its like there is nothing wrong with it. Oh yeah take the first 3 letters of each word
He has a write up in National Enguirer today (26 Jan2012) still Kicken!

"However!"
Seldom does one word achieve such comical effect.
Timing is everything indeed.

I use to hang out with him on Miami Beach back in the 70s. We smoked a lot of dope together.

Professor Irwin Corey, a man of whom it may truly be said that no matter where he goes... he isn't all there!
An under-appreciated GREAT comedian. His television appearances were masterpieces of witty wordplay, right from his opening comment of "However!"

Thanks for the comment. Great You Tubin. I wish I had a better cut. But I hope you enjoyed it anyway.
