@nosferatum79 In italy? It's an opel astra thtoughout ALL of europe, a saturn astra in north america, holden astra in australia and probably new zealand too.

Well it was designed by GM Europe. It is one of  few models that GM resells in US market without modifications to the design. In the past US GM would take a design and make it more "American" not in this case.
