THE SAME WAY THAT 1979'S OFF THE WALL WAS THE GREATEST MOMENT FOR DISCO MUSIC, 1991'S DANGEROUS ABLUM WAS DEFINITELY THE GREATEST MOMENT FOR NEW JACK SWING.
This is some interesting shit, learning how beats and production evolved. So many styles went through changes and combined with each other and then evolved again and again to get to where we are now.
IMO, Dangerous the greatest New Jack Swing album ever. Also i dont know if anybody know this, but Michael wanted Teddy to be part of the BAD album, but unforunately, it didnt happen.
how the hell dey not gon cover the biggest r&b joint of 1993! SWV Right here human nature was produced by Teddy Riley! SWV was so underrated! They shounda thrown it in after Michael! Hello thats just wrong
I had always been a fan and have utmost respectful of Mr. Jones- so I was nervously humble interviewing him for this Teddy Riley feature. But, when I meant he was "gracious" I meant that he saw my eagerness even though I kept him an extra 45 mins. (outside of his scheduled time) to interview and get as much knowledge as I could out of him.....overall, Mr. Jones is brilliant and I will never forget that interview!!!
To me all his stuff did sound the same - the one exception was the kissing game by Hi - five - that did not sound like a teddy riley record but all the rest did - I get the job done, get away, remember the time - all sound the same
why dont we jst all invite all this stupid ass crunk producers and rappers, u know like put em all in a boein 747 plane, fly em out on half empty fuel tank and see wot would happen!

If you haven't already, listen to Michael's song "Tabloid Junkie" it's a good example of a mimic track, especially towards the end.

The Dangerous album is a masterpiece and IMO it's better than Thriller
PhillT1988 3 years ago 2
im with you 100%, greastest sound ever...it gets no better than mj with teddys beats...
kitrik23 2 years ago 3
im with you also... I dont know if its better then thriller
but It allowed Micheal to reinvent and reinvigorate himself. If not for teddy Micheal may have slipped into nostalgia.

The narrator screwed up at the beginning. BLACKstreet was formed in 1991, while Teddy was working on Bobby Brown's 3rd album, "Bobby".
