you're wrong. DRI used to play straight out hardcore, never really considered punk. They actually changed their direction to a more thrash style expecially with the realease of Crossover in 85 or 86. I was there and remember it well

i saw D.R.I. this month, out here in vegas. during 'acid rain" several fights broke out, some kid jumped on stage tried to take the set list off the drum set. the singer jumped of stage after him, punching him in the head. the singer gets back up, and while still playing, the basist kicks the kid right in the fucking nose. even in thare 40's DRI are not ones to be fucked with.

i have seen DRI live several times and they have been good each time. Recommend to all DRI fans to check out VSD from Baltimore. Good, thrashing fun heavy music, recorded live in 1987. VSD- Girl troubles, Conformity Sucks, Kill Your kids and 2 other metal songs worth a listen.
