  • @sublime guide I see. Count me in as a supporter.

  • How much does it cost to buy the vest

  • Wow, I would HATE to be one of the guys who had to catch those 1.2 million spiders... Especially because the bigger the better.

  • vsause are coming!

  • I could be Spider Man

  • Burn it faggot !

  • spiders are not insects, they are arachnids

  • That doesn't sound ethical to me.

  • @thebettyliem And that's how SOPA is born (SpidersOngoingProtectionActivicts)

    :D

  • Not everyone knows it, but spiders only have so much silk in them - once it's gone, it's gone, so they recycle it over and over. Watch them sometime - when the webs get damaged, they carefully gather it up to spin a new one. Spiders so work hard, with such precision and artistry and intelligence, and they are so important to ecological balance. The fact that they were "returned to the world unharmed" afterwards to die makes me sad.

  • @brynnbaron um...no, spiders eat the web because it has a high amount of protein, they need protein to spin new webs because webs will lose stickiness over time and would become useless. its a great method of hunting prey, put down trap you can eat if nothing comes and wait for something to come. As long as the spider gets its meal it can spin a web.

  • Isn't it easier to train the spiders to make the cloth and pay them in flys?

  • @locouk Nice comment! :D

  • i'll believe it when i see the spiders producing it

  • i loved the maccabi tel aviv basketball ad before the show

  • Fantastic material spider's silk! I saw this programme were this guy had genetically modified a load of Goats to produce the spider's silk protein in their milk, so this should be much easier in the future

  • @katakisLives i saw that too, they also said that they could use the silk to make vests for soldiers, as spiders silk is stronger than Kevlar, and alot lighter

  • Wow.
