  • Powerful letter. Stand up and fight for what is right and just. That Robin is such a Hobag. Hate her so much. Donovans got the mom from hell. A hatchet faced old bitch probably with chronic dry cunt syndrome.

  • That Robin...what a Hobag. Donovans mother is the mom from Hell. A gold digging.... hatchet faced old with probably with dry cunt.

  • Michael Donovan's mother reminds me of Nancy Reagan.

  • Abraham and the holocaust survivor aspect is one of the things I really, REALLY wish they'd include in the new V series on ABC. I like the new series, but Grandpa Abraham was the coolest thing in the old series for me. lol

  • note to myself:

i'm fine .. means I'm pregnant in girl talk.

  • When he tells his mom some woman taught him morals, she looks at him like "who the fuck was that bitch?! I never taught you anything like that, I'm a cunt!"

  • Yes, the letter reading scene was inspiring but...as long as Daniel lives there, making it a safe house is just plain dumb. "Hi, we know your son is a loyal member of the Nazi party and still lives with you. Can we hide some Jews here?"

  • @brinpol That actually happened in WW2, though. Hiding Jews or others in homes that had nazi sympathizers/members in it. It was rare, but it did occur.

  • what a bitch Mike's mother is. People like that enabled Nazi germany to happen

  • that's what you get you pig ugly fuck for getting nailed by a fuckin lizard !

  • That's what you get you pig ugly fuck for getting nailed by a fuckin lizard !

  • That's what she gets for getting nailed by a fuckin lizard !

  • @1975bakerlad and you thought those hentai flicks about monsters nailing pretty young things seven ways to Sunday were bad.

  • you I knew this mini series had a troubled history, mainly due to brutal murder of Dominque Dunne, who was the orignal Robin Maxwell. I wonder if their are stills of her of her scenes being shot before her Murder.

  • I wonder how the series would have continued/concluded with Kenneth Johnson still being the one with production rights of the series. He was reportedly not happy to see The Final Battle and thought it lacked some of his original vision.

I think the The Final Battle is still a good mini-series and a fine follow up of the original mini-series.

Sadly they decided to milk the concept further by making V-the series, which turned the show into a soap opera with aliens in it.

  • @McLarenMercedes KJ's DVD commentary he states he wanted to do a new installment of the saga once a year as a one off special and show the war as it progressed possibly over many years. But NBC wanted a weekly series and he couldn't stop them. He did cowrite Final Battle but credited himself as Lillian Weezer. You can read KJ's V: The Second Generation novel which takes place 20 years later to see what he had in mind.

  • @Rbatty2 Yes...insect Aliens with breasts is what he had in mind ;)

  • @brinpol What a shame that wasn't realized.

  • "Halt! I said, HALT! HAMMERZEIT!"

  • @parachuteclubbed lol... I was just watching this and thought the same thing! haha!

  • "ghetto blasters"

  • she needed condoms or abstinence training

    or an alien-bortion

  • julies not much of a humanitarian, she wants to sacrifice those people...what you do is board the alien spaceships, get the people to fight after you thaw them out,

    popsicle resistance

  • did anyone notice that speilburg borrowed that scene from the mountain camp for saving private ryan?

  • Julie is really cool. Even now, female characters like hers are rare in films and TV. They were even rarer when this was made. A woman who manages to be smart, heroic, and a great leader, without losing her compassion for others. Scriptwriters could take a lesson here.

  • Absolutely! The only way we're sold this type of character today is the Fifth Element method: calling attention to the character's sex appeal (which is merely a facsimile and not genuine sex appeal) to make it possible for inept audiences to suspend their disbelief long enough to tolerate the character throughout the film. This is why I rarely see a new film. They're (Hollywood) blatantly implying that audiences are semi-conscious automatons with their weak plots, characters and dialogue.

  • @swansdaughter It was also realistic. Some people complain about her breaking down and crying quite a bit, but that's how most people in her position would react...a grad student that everyone is looking to to save the world? Heck, most people would so the same...

  • Wow! What a great mini series. The scene where she reads the letter is so moving.

  • @blackrock26 That part made me cry, and I'm not ashamed to say it.

  • They should have done a PSA on being pregnant with an alien baby. Damn visitors.

  • this is the heaviest part
