Perhaps you should go to Cuba and speak to CUBANS.....I have. Unhindered by US pressure, Cuba would be in a different postition. Thankfully the EU, Canada, and China are starting blow off US nonesense and making real investment and change in Cuba.

Cuba has tons of oil, huge amounts of agricultural land and plenty of human capital. It's as though Castro never took a course in basic finance and accounting, it's so mismanaged that he is still putting quotas on farm production. One of the first things the communist in China and USSR threw out because they knew how stupid it was.
