@RuniTravel well, of course there are no literal lines draw to show a border. It's just an outdated practice when humans thing they own a certain part of the earth. Which it is not possible to own the earth.
@RuniTravel No ofcourse not. Hes talking about a virtual border from where law changes if you pass it. For example. @savemyplaylist > truth though ... its pure capitalist propaganda ... otherwise I just cannot explain this situation ... what's Cuba going to do? Send a large Cigar to the US President? Lets stay serious... Or tell me some deep kept secret ...
@RuniTravel No it's not capitalist propaganda, it's reality. Don't get me wrong, what's in America at the moment is NOT capitalism, however it's far better than Cuba. @RuniTravel The USA is great...but if they want to be dicks and to continue this absurd stance of Cuba-a small Caribbean island with 11M people- being some sort of evil demon that is threatening the US, then screw them. @savemyplaylist Perhaps you do not understand what a trade embargo is? The USA puts pressure on its allies for doing trade with Cuba. The USA blocks international financial agency support to Cuba. Perhaps you should go to Cuba and speak to CUBANS.....I have. Unhindered by US pressure, Cuba would be in a different postition. Thankfully the EU, Canada, and China are starting blow off US nonesense and making real investment and change in Cuba.

@savemyplaylist you are a disrepectul cunt.... I have spoken to Cubans living in Cuba who have lived through the 90s. @RuniTravel Cuba has plenty of allies that gave them loans but the money all ran out. Why is their system so unsustainable? @good2goskee Don't kid yourself, it's not getting any better. What's funny is how it's even worse than before the revolution. Remember all the casinos and hotels Castro was complaining about during the revolution? Well they are only open to foreigners, Cubans are banned! @savemyplaylist you are kidding me right? You are comparing infusion of cash through new tourism and development of industry with entry restrictions to casinos? Why don't you compare Cuba to the 90s when the place was like a 3rd world country- where blackouts were 3 times per day, and getting fuel for a bus was impossible. It is not like that now. Cuba is not like living in Seattle or Montreal (but neither is DR or Jamacia), but it is improving.
@good2goskee I'm comparing it to before the revolution. It was 1000x better before that dip shit created a totalitarian dictatorship. Cuba has tons of oil, huge amounts of agricultural land and plenty of human capital. It's as though Castro never took a course in basic finance and accounting, it's so mismanaged that he is still putting quotas on farm production. @good2goskee I've been to Cuba you dumb ass. The people there are just like the folks in Miami, they hate that bastard Fidel and they want economic and personal freedom.
@good2goskee savemyplaylist is not a liar, he spoke the truth(like it or not)They do hate Castro and want personal and economic freedom. No one there believes that BS anymore. I lived in Cuba, feel free to ask anything you want.
@yonostromo my point is that Cuba would be much better if the USA was not strangling it with economic sancitons and blockaides. 'savemyplaylist' seems to think the USA has no influence on Cuba's difficult recover since the fall of the USSR and that it is 100% due to Cuban mismanagement. I disagree with his mismanagement argument. This was the basis of our argument.
@good2goskee I understand ur point, i swear i do.I think the embargo should b lifted, no one should have that power,i agree with u.Now,Cuba is free 2 do business with many countries and they do it all the time but not 2 favor cuban ppl, i know, i lived there.Cuba was nothing but a "colony" to USSR, after the collapse of the USSR cubans have had all kinds of trouble and most of them because of mismanagement of the government,Theres plenty of videos here of Castro admitting its their fault.
@good2goskee My point is that Cuba would b much better if they open up. If cubans were able to elect a president that they want and let their ppl choose the system they wanna live in, things would be totally different, for better or for worse, but that would be their choice. The Castros had been in power since 1959 making it a harsh dictatorship, prosecuting their citizens and sending them to prison or forced labor camps and even killing them for the simple reason of wanting a better Cuba.
@yonostromo sure fair....this original argument was not about Castro vs. democracy or Communism vs Capitalism....if it was than savemyplaylist should be including the plights of China and Vietnam or KSA where dictatorships, torture, Communism and very un-American systems rule. Yet, the USA happily does business and does not impose embargoes. My feeling is the US should let Cuba be and stay out of their business. Cuba is NO threat to the USA
@savemyplaylist we must start saying you don't know what capitalism is. capitalism doesn't mean trading. obviously an economy can't grow if they can't trade with the rest of the world.we're talking about a country that was blocked for 50 years. they did what they could to survive. i'm not defending castro, i only think about cubans, that's why the US should change their position about it, beyond ideological differences, 50 years is enough.they're not damaging castro, they're damaging cubans.
@florhh14 "trading. obviously an economy can't grow if they can't trade with the rest of the world.we're talking about a country that was blocked for 50 years." --The US does not block them from the rest of the world!!! It's an embargo with ONLY the US!!! Are you fucking high???
@florhh14 totally good point! this absurd American blockade creates emnity to the USA. Actually..it has some very organized social structure the USA could learn from, and it is safe (Havana could use a paint job). Anyways, why would the USA give up trade and making money (even if it is on a small scale) considering the USA ecomony is screwed?
@Tokagawa89: Why does a Communist nation require trade with a capitalist one to prosper? Why was Cuba chronically dependent on Russian foreign aid during the Cold War? Your comment is pure Communist propaganda.
@Tokagawa89 there is another 199 countries on the planet to trade with, why is the american embargo the problem. this just means that communism cant prosper in this day and age. everyone blames america for everything, "u dont trade with us, u r evil" woow
Cuba is still communism because of the Embargo. Think about this-if the US lifted Embargo and all the money and investment have been poured into Cuba, will Cuba still be a "socialist paradise?" No, it will be more like Miami.
It is very ironic: why anti-Communists want Embargo, which prolonged Castro's region., and Che-loving liberals want to lift it so that the "New Cuba" will be more corrupted than Batista's Cuba, the "evil American puppet" they referred to.
@RuniTravel LOL. Good point. But I'm Cuban living in Miami with an American passport and I cant go back unless I renew my Cuban passport which cost around $400 and is only valid for about a year. lol. Can you see why I'm upset? :)
@lulu89PB > sure, but I'm Latino ... If you're a woman you can marry someone like me and get multiple passports ... If you're a man I guess you're screwed ... ( LOL ;-) ... just joking, but what I mean is that there is always a solution... Runi

@Tokagawa89

Runi
