I got an 84 vette, I dont like the power output on it.. 205 HP :\...I have been reading and it seems pretty difficult to tune these engines. At the moment I am preparing it for just cruising driving around. Has fresh coat of paint already. Just waiting to fix the interior decently.

If that 84 Vette has the Crossfire Injection motor he did a fantastic job modding it. I had an 84 and it was nothing but a good looking car, with only 160rwhp there wasn't much it could beat. The Viper was a poor show, the owner must not have drag radials cause that Vette hooked up and took off like a raped ape!

If you are going to compare these cars, consider that the vette is almost 25 years older than the viper and costs about 60k less. I would hope dodge could out do what chevy engineered 25 years ago. I would like to see a drag between a stock 84 vette and a stock 84 mustang. No contest. Dodge didn't even have a decent performer at the time.

I don't buy it at all. First off the viper ran a quarter mile time consistent with a stock pre-2008 model (considering that he dogged it off the line). I don't think that viper was supercharged. And either that vette is running some short ass gears or it has more than 340 hp. It was fighting for traction ALL the way through 2nd and made a solid 3rd gear chirp.

If you turn your volume up, you can faintly hear the whistle from the Viper's supercharger, but I agree with you on the Vette. Either it had more horsepower or had a ton of torque.

Uhh the Viper was over a second ahead of the vette even after missing a gear.. Turn the volume up, you can hear and even see the viper miss the gear. Once the viper got traction he shot way out ahead, probably would have ran a low to mid 11 had he not missed a gear.. But it should be able to do even better. You can hear him slipping all through first and second. If the specs are accurate that viper is good for 10 second runs easy.
