The West Indies and being West Indian means that you just so happen to be from/or have parents from an island that falls within the region of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It has nothing to do with race. Now of course Trinidad, Guyana, and Jamaica have mixed populations, but not in the way you're talking about and they certainly don't make up a majority in those countries.

Jamaican is like 80 to 90 percent black. Trinidad is like Guyana but a bit more blacks. I have been to all three places and that is my observation. In my opinion same culture.

I'm not sure where you got those percentages because Guyana's Indian population is at 43% and the Black population is 30% while Trinidad's Indian pop. is 40% and Black pop. is 37.5%. I highly disagree with "same culture". Sure we have similarities but we, for the most part, totally different.

One eats curry chicken the other chicken curry, one eats rice and peas the other eats peas and rice.

One drinks Vat 19 the other drinks Appleton. One eats shark and bake on the beach the other eats festival and fish. One will borrow you money and don't pay you back the other will borrow money and don't pay you back. Very similar. The history of slavery the region the foods.
