  • @AndyKoons

    yeah you're right...only 10000 faster

  • How come the sound quality just randomly gets better at 1:35?

  • @Bango61 because he shut off the camera's regular mic, and started using the mics that were set up on his kit :)

  • @Bango61 because he was recording the acoustics of the room with the camera mic at first, then switched to the audio of the drum-mics

  • More like "Jan Benkwitz gives you an insult"

  • Cover some cryptopsy. Something from None So Vile

  • dude .. you need to get yourself some real crash cymbals!! those sound just like they cost 10€ all together

  • fuckin noob

  • ta de brinkadeira ahushaus!

  • sounds like your snare is in the grand canyon with all the reverb lol

  • @MASSRCOR I lol'd.

@MrDozier95 I promise that when you shut up you'll sound alot more intelligent. Yes, I'm aware of the absence of logic in that sentence.

  • @MikePostDrums Absence of logic? Dude I didnt say he sucks I said if he learns some linear fills from jazz and gospel he will sound way much better than he already sounds. I am also aware of Trolls giving me negavtive replies on a good comment that isnt going against anybody.

  • @MrDozier95 You're the troll here. Look up the definition of 'troll'. I'm not trolling. It may sound better, TO YOU. Because you already love jazz / gospel.

  • @MikePostDrums Trolls are people who go on videos and just try to find the very little or big mistake they can find in a good video. Or people who give negative comments on a good comment. Is that me? Did I say anything bad about this dude or diss someones comment. So whos the troll?

  • @MikePostDrums I was just giving little advice that really isnt a big deal, but people like you make it a big deal. All I said was "if you learn some jazz/gospel fills it would sound 110%" better than he already sounds.

  • @MrDozier95 Really, you stated "it would sound 110% better" and you never once made it sound like it was an opinion. It sounded like a fact and music is all about taste / preference.

  • @MikePostDrums LOL my bad dude, but just know a statement -which I made- is never considered a fact.

  • @MrDozier95 Check out Exivious, by the way. It might not be your kind of music (I don't know) but I'm sure you can appreciate it. Listen to 'Ripple of a Tear', 'Waves of Thought' and 'Asurim'.

  • Fast, but it still sounds like shit to me...!

  • @lildrummerboyifa: in almost every case, the "drummers" who post about the evils of triggers are either 16-year-old musos with zero life experience or frustrated local sports-bar cover band rats who think that all good music came out before 1980. Y'know, the types that wear newly purchased current-tour Rush shirts to a Rush concert and then tuck them in to their jeans with a Sears-belt and drive away in their shiny new Ford pickup cranking "real music" like Bad Company.

  • BORING. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • Amazing job man! :)

  • HE TALKS TO SLOW

  • Why does everyone hate triggers? They make tour drums sound exactly how you want them, I want triggers, I mean yeah my kit sounds amazing but it's still nice to have a little extra behind the sound

  • @lildrummerboyifa triggers are kind of an easy way out. regardless of how you play, the sound comes out sounding perfect. Sometimes it sounds monotonous. It is kinda like autotune for drums. So some consider it cheating.

  • @TejasM14 well i knew about how they give you the perfect sound you want but inst that a good thing? If your playing a live show you don't have time to tune your drums after every 3-4 songs and what if you hit a tom not hard enough it for some reason doesn't pick up, if you had triggers you wouldn't have to worry as much about malfunctions, I think they're useful and far from cheating and want some but they're to damn expensive for me

  • Cover The Violation by Fleshgod Apocalypse. Seriously.

  • boring! where is the musicality??

  • @gumby10

Not only is that concept totally subjective, if not entirely unnecessary, but the musicality for this drumming comes as the part that he's playing for the song. It's always about the context and how it fits into the song being played around it.

  • what does he do to make it sound better could someone tell me i try to record and its all distorted and shit

  • @ishi990 He uses drum microphones... The first take is with the cameramic, after it is the same one with the mix. You need a drum mic set, a mixtable/sound card with 8+ ports, and a recording device (Prefferably a computer)

  • @ishi990 you 9 years old or something?

  • ich liebe die bassdrum.. baam alter.. richtig crisp und satt im klang :'D

  • @naplame Sure if I can find someone with a camera to film me, or if could buy one. But it will be a while until I put my hands on the sounds again because I got surgery on my left achillies(did I spell that right?). Its not hard dude, I'll put up a linear fill video when I can which teaches you the foot patterns also. All you have to do is take the time to practice it. Type in linear fills in the search while you can, it'll show you the fills used for gospel and diff. ideas you can use.

  • Metal looks so funny when people play it. Yall sit so upright and have like real fast simple fills and yall make it seem hard when yall play but yall are just doing alot of simple fast fills at every transition. But hey if its something you like dont stop it, but I say learn some gospel and jazz fills and grooves and I promise you when you combine it with your metal/rock it will sound 110% greater

  • @MrDozier95 Personall opinion, doesnt matter how simple or hard it is..Most metal bands nowadays, sadly, dont care about anything but playing as fast as they can.Alot of metal bands put alot of jazz, blues, classical, etc riffs and fills into their songs.Just gotta find the right things.Either way,if it sounds good then theres nothing wrong with it.

  • @MrDozier95 lol, always someone with no videos talking as if they're a better drummer xD ALWAYS.

no videos, shut up, no one cares what you 'say' xD

  • @topgrrl1 I didnt say I were a better drummer you ignorant little girl. It would be very unlike for me to compare me and him because I dont play metal. I play jazz and gospel which is very complex. I was saying if he learned a little bit of that he could put it to use and make it sound better than he already sounds. Theres ALWAYS those people who read comments and worry about who has vids Troll. You dont make yourself any brighter by capping your letters.

  • @topgrrl1 And by the way i do have videos but they are not uploaded because they are for the people I am teaching for my church. Its just me doing snare patterns and and giving ideas for fills.

  • @MrDozier95 maybe u should learn some metal....dont go by what *this* guy is playing metal is complex and requires increidble technique speed and control

  • @OGTheDemon Nah never dude what would a black person look like playing metal LOL. Yah but sometimes and most of the times speed is not the key in drumming. You are right, control is the very important, but just to be honest in my opinion fast fills kind of get boring after a while because they sound the same.

  • @MrDozier95 lot of black metal musicians, hes playing....death metal or death core which is just speed speed thats it....its a bad example of metal drumming. Many other generes of metal drummign that require incredible technique...prog being one of the most popular or melodic death metal

  • @OGTheDemon Cool I didnt know that

  • @MrDozier95 /watch?v=eIqmlMVevGA check that out great example of wut im talkin about

  • @MrDozier95 Yeah, I agree. My favourite metal drummers are the ones who aren't speed demons, but use more "unconventional" fills and beats, at least in metal. Guys like Sean Malone, Steve Flynn, George Kollias, Mario Duplantier.

  • @MrDozier95 I can't think of any quicker way to bore myself than learning gospel. Drumming for mythology? Not a chance. And jazz should have stayed in the 50s where it belonged.

  • @Maarkaald Your entitled to give your opinion and I will not judge you, but I'm just letting you know gospel is very great to play but it takes a hell of a long time to learn. It's good to challenge your self sometimes. I learned alot of gospel and jazz stuff and now I'm off to learning rock which is very easy to understand after a little experience of experience. Gospel fills can be very strong deep fills playing to rock. If you get a chance or you feel like it type in gospel chops.

  • @Maarkaald Just imagine an those fills in a rock song and imagine how it would sound. And to tell you the truth most of the fills for chops are similar to rock fills. But they are just a little more complex. Not to be cocky (really), when I play to rock songs it is alot easier than playing to gospel. In gospel music the fills are very long whe you get to a certain part of the song and gets very tricky. So instead of playing to the song with a non stop you have to practice it first.

  • @MrDozier95 you obviously have not checked out george kollias

  • @doublebassrox I dont really care about this video. I got here because it was a related video. I do not play metal or watch metal so obviously no. Can someone please get me off the top comment so people can stop sending me replies!

  • @MrDozier95 Check out some proggy metal bands dude like Between the Buried and Me or Opeth.. their drummers fuse alot of jazzy stuff in the mellow slower stuff.. you might dig it.

  • @MrDozier95 hope u dont say *yall* all as much when u talk cause that sounds retarded

  • @MrDozier95 the point of each genre is to have its own style and fills its completely unfitting to throw fills like those from styles like those into a style as heavy as most metal. this guy isnt all that great anyways listen to derek roddy or jordan mancino they a little more creative. who says this guy doesnt already know how to play gospel or jazz? you play a style the way thats fitting not the way thats most flashy. the biggest part of metal is its energy and drive

  • @Bigsexy8832 unfitting to throw those fills in there? Ok you can use any fill in any music. There are no restictions when it comes to drumming. Take a linear fill which is typicly a hip hop type fill its used in metal all the time. You can use any fill in any music. And you can tell he doesnt play jazz because jazz is about feeling the beat and the music and grooving with the track and this guys focusing to much and just tense.

  • @TripleOGStatuz you fuckin idiot you cant just throw a swing fill in the middle of a rock song, each song has its appropriate times, you dont know shit about music thats the dumbest fucking thing i ever heard. a lot of fills do cross over, doesnt mean they ALWAYS fit though most of the time each genre does have its own standard of fills too you fuckin tit

  • @Bigsexy8832 damn you need to widen your vocabulary from saying fuck every other word, and depending on the rock song you could throw that fill in there. i hope for christmas you get a dictionary. happy holidays!

  • @TripleOGStatuz just cuz you can throw it in doesnt mean its appropriate, they have 2 completely different feels. thanks for addressing my comment dumbass

  • @Bigsexy8832 Isn't great? Are you kidding? Name me another drummer that covers Behemoth and Nile with the degree of precision he does on YouTube. Roddy's better, agreed, but this guy is DARN close in terms of ability, and he's, like, half the age.

  • @AspiringRocker729 hes not even close to close in ability. he is good as far as technique goes, hes not creative at all though and thats more than half of it, anybody can practice their ass of until they gain chops like that, the ability to use it well is wat matters and he doesnt at all

  • @MrDozier95 fucking white trash.

  • @Grisu69 LOL im not white and if your talking about him hes not that bad.

  • @MrDozier95 you cant have jazz fills they arent even timed the same as in metal jazz tempos and beats are way more wacky. plus id like to see you play double bass and not sit up straight

  • @Grisu69 too fucking right. sure, knowing how to play some jazz stuff as well as 4/4 metal with almost zero syncopation IS a good idea: but just as you say, tons of jazz and big band fills and 'fast bits' and stuff are NOT as precise - even buddy rich isn't pure metronome-work and yeah maybe that's parta what makes it good...Buddy complained (in the 'matched grip' video) about (then-)modern drummers just doing 4/4 patterns etc but not EVERYTHING can be gay swing rhythms. swing can be HELLA gay.

  • @MrDozier95 Gospel and jazz fills? Get the fuck out of here.

  • @kungfuman82 Type in Buddy Rich my friend and you will see what I am talking about and type in jazz solos and look up eric moore or Tony royster

  • @MrDozier95 I'd rather get anally raped by a drunk Ralph Fiennes who hasn't showered in three weeks than listen to one more minute of jazz. People like you kept trying to force that garbage down my throat in music school. You look down your noses at metal guys when you don't realize that YOUR music sounds like a bunch of tone deaf monkeys masturbating with their instruments.

You can keep that jazz stuff, and please keep it off of metal videos.

  • @kungfuman82 Do you realise that anybody who has a remote sense of time can pick up a pair of drum sticks and play a metal song...

  • @TomMorison Then pick up some sticks and tape yourself playing metal songs.

  • @kungfuman82 hope you said that in a kinda Eddie Murphy way

  • @queenmcsleaze *Beverly Hills Cop laugh*

  • @kungfuman82 oh man i hear you - i do that laugh without even thinking about it, too

  • @MrDozier95

well the thing most of the ppl like of metal drumming are not the fills, but the fast double pedal

    and that aint easy :P

  • @MrDozier95 this is just warm ups. if you listen to more tech metal, youll hear more complex drumming and fills

  • @MrDozier95 i agree one hundred percent with you

  • nich schlecht nich schlecht ;)

  • Sorry a little more bass in the kick drum

  • Needs a little more bass in the pedal

  • @ab4foot11 Thanks! I can't see the video that well, the phone i was on is a piece of shit -_-

  • you should play the violation by fleshgod apocalypse

  • I'd kill to know his mic setup >_>

  • @Blastphemer, what kind of snare is that that you're using?

  • @AnthonyyCanFlyy based off of the head, (which looks like a stock black panther head) its some for of black panther. I know that that's not that specific but thats all that *I* could tell you

  • cool entlich mal ein deutscher

  • All music reaches a point where there's no definition without triggers. It sounds like a wall of noise. We Need a drummer who can break this and play fast with definition and power behind each stroke. This guy is sreeram sauce!

  • triggerting is really yuk.no tone. fast but do you see how fast you can wank as well?

  • Direct-drive, what can be more easy.

  • nice work broo im from hispanima!

  • When i want to show people real drumming, I show them your videos.

  • challenge accepted?

  • I think this is one of the only guys on YouTube that could possibly cover Fleshgod Apocalypse.

  • Shit

  • sounds like one of those wind up monkey drummers

  • Nice use of the hi hat pedal.

  • Very nice to hear the a coustic audio first and then the mix/master audio later..

    pretty cool!,...

  • That is probably the best trigger sound I have ever heard.

  • Nasty triggering, but great playing none the less.

  • what kind of kit do you have?

  • how do you get toms to sound like that?

  • @DethDaeNossi triggers...

  • @fmxrider555 there isnt triggers on his toms though

  • @DethDaeNossi at 1:24 he says "der trigger setzt aus" = the trigger went off. but great playing ^^

  • @PsychoManiac696 at the beginning of the video is says it is played acoustic. I wanna know how to get my toms to sound like that with no triggers.

  • so happy to hear u finally talking german <3

immer nur scheiß englisch endlich mal deutsch :D

  • awesome

  • Whoaaaaaa!!!!!!

  • Nice.

  • How do you tune your drums?

  • what kind of snare is that??

  • @XsitogrinderX i think he said the black panther machete

  • It'd be awesome to see you play Celestial Deconstruction by 1349
