i saw a video yesterday tht well a jap person had a bearded dragon which is an australian reptile for starters in japan they arnt allowed to be exported couse of regulatons
this person was harrasing the beardy in a way which is unexeptible the truth is jap people dont know how to take care of animals call me racist if you like but im standing for this,
u are right that everyone has animal cruelty problems, but asia is especially horrid to animals...mostly taiwan and korea and china, not so much japan
when i saw this as a kid i never noticed the animal abuse in this movie. i mean that is a REAK cat being tossed off that cliff. but i'm guessing it survived unless they used a different cat for the scene were he is swimming out of the ocean...

Don't you people wonder if that really was a real cat that they used to fall in that scene? That looked like it was for real. I always loved Milo and otis but now that I am an adult I worry when I watch this movie. Some scenes look exactly like real danger was happening for the animals while making this movie. Then again it was made in Japan they probably have different laws then we do, they probably don't have animal protection laws in their country. Fuck the Japenese!
the original was named chatran in the 80s n yeah i heard they killd mad animals by mistake meaning in scenes but milo n otis is filmd in us not in china ok its a remix of d orig movie
can u plz put the whole of milo and otis on youtube coz i had that on video but dvd came out and now i dont hav a video player. so plz put it on youtube. i need to watch it again!
There is an urban legend regarding "Milo & Otis". While the Japanese producers never admited the killing of the animals, there are some that claim that several dozen of animals where killed, while filming the movie. Also, The Humane Society was never involved in the filming. Still the US version claims that the animals welfare was being monitored. It does not claim the killing but never had supervision, so you could come to any conclusion.
milo didn't die stupid person you need to watch the movie more often or a are you just blind or mental gosh think before you post something like this...
i do like it, but are you aware that around 37 animals were injured and around 28 killed? they filmed this in Japan, where there is no law against that :(
xD; wtf, milo and otis was NOT made in japan -__- and there was no animal abuse >_>; it took over a year and a half to film, because they used the same cat and dog, getting them growing up. geez! and the cat didn't die -_- he jumps off to avoid the seagulls who are attacking him >_> btw, he just took pieces of the movie out -_- get your facts straight before you go saying that >=T
Also, I agree with you that the animals weren't killed either. Geeze I think people get Japan confused for some 3rd world country that skins cats for fur. Japan is not like that. They cherish cats. The cat is even included in their history and traditions. I just can't see the Japanese doing anything cruel to land animals.....
no I'm afraid it was real. This film was made in Japan and what constitutes animal abuse is often seen differently in other countries, particulaly Asian countries.
do you know if the cat survied? i certainly hope no serious harm came to any of the animals while making this or my whole view of that movie will change.
although im not surprised at all. i know all about what goes on in asian countries, its sick to say the least.
I think I read that the cat survived, although they had to use a different cat from then on during filming since the one they used wouldn't obey the trainers' commands anymore. I could be wrong, though...
that shit is funny.. i was reading kates comment and didn't think nothin of it till i saw that part.. and Yes I laughed so hard as well.. lol.. slow motion and everything.. classic..

This reeks of a lot of time put into it, and def. lacks a level of polish that subsequently gives its redemption in an endearingly raw sort of way.
