  • Anyone think this might work on the Wii version? =/

  • Lol I used the ships increase in jump when ur trying to get on it to get up there :P

  • This is frustrating! People show you the jump, but no one tells you how to do it!!!!

  • Whait.....Reales L as you jump? What buttons do you use to do the glitch? I can't seem to do it.

  • @Larrymilman Assuming you use the L button to lock on? Yeah, it just means you release the lock.

  • @SmashbrosMaster Gotcha. (sorry for typos...had keyboard error...)

  • Esto no es el Space Jump.

Space Jump aparece en Prime 2

  • Works on Trilogy? o.o

  • @matau454

I do not believe so. Then again i didn't play prime 1 in trilogy much since I have a 0-00 disc.

  • this is the american version right? like the one with the metroid prime 2 demo? idk what ntsc stands for O.o

  • @metaldemonseanknels old comment is old but idc.

Anyway NTSC means North American Reigon and this one is probably the NTSC 0-00 version but yeah the one with the Metroid Prime 2 demo (The 0-01 version) has this SB as well.

  • Man I find this so hard to do. I need to get my gaming thumbs warmed up!

  • It's that simple?! All the written versions are like 3 or 4 paragraphs long!

  • i have tried this for hours. i never make it. my life sucks

  • this is sorta pissing me off. it lets me lock on the target and dash, but i am not getting far enough to reach the ledge, and from what i see on the video, the dash doesn't last as long as that either. AUGH but i guess its because i'm not using a gamecube or a wii. and im not even using a gamecube controller. i dont even have a gamecube anymore. but i have a virtual wii(cuz it plays both wii and gamecube games) so im guessing that dolphin emulator just isn't the same as a gamecube. but i play HD

  • @Twixgtx I'm doing this on a console and it's total bullshit. There is such a tiny margin of error that you practically have to be one pixel off of the ship just to make it across. I've been doing this for three days and I've hit the ledge a grand total of ONCE.

  • @Chiznitz wow, that comment was a month ago and now i've mastered this technique.

  • @Twixgtx Do you have any advice for the onlooking crowd?

  • @Chiznitz one thing you don't wanna do is keep holding b or l once you've actually dashed. you hold L to lock on, push right(it may or may not work if you hold it) and be sure to push right before you press B so that you dash. and if necessary turn right in order to gain a little distance only after you have dashed. if you hold anything down, it will mroe than likely fail. also, things might be different for me since i'm using a computer and a ps3 controller. it shouldn't be different though

  • @Twixgtx I've actually been tapping B like nuts after dashing, just so I don't miss the ledge. I've tried it both holding and dropping the lock-on, and still haven't succeeded in doing anything but giving Samus a concussion.

  • @Chiznitz so you really haven't been able to pull it off? it shouldn't take no more than about an hour for the first time. are you using the trilogy version? cuz if you look around on the internet, its nearly impossible on there. you have to make sure that you're going back on the ship far enough and try letting go of all buttons immediately after you dash, see if it works. but just keep trying. if you need more info, go to metroid 2002, its a website but youtube doesn't allow site addresses

  • @Twixgtx I'm using the Gamecube version. It has to be the oldest version too, because I bought this copy like a month after it released. Maybe my reflexes are just retarded.

  • @Twixgtx Come to think of it, would using a Wavebird controller make any difference in response time? It's what I've been using and I know it has fresh batteries in it.

  • @Chiznitz if your actually using the GC system, then i don't think a different brand of controllers would make any difference, i'm using a ps3 controller and it looked exactly as in the video when i did it. are you sure that your letting go of all buttons when you dash. try doing the combat dash method. theres 2 ways, go to that door where the creatures pop outa the ground, don't walk in, lock on to a creature, then walk back a lil and dash. its closer than the ship

  • will this work in Trilogy?

  • Is it still possible to get the SJE in Metroid prime Trilogy with the method used in the NTSC Player's Choice version? I know scan-dashing is out (no brainer there).

The method I described is targeting a seedling in the tunnel at the top door with the combat visor, going to the back of your ship (barely maintaining your target), and then side-jump while letting go the targeting at the same time.

This was how I got SJE since I haved the Player's Choice version.

  • A ha! Same vid as on Metroid 2002. You the owner? Or are they just using your vid?

  • @neerdy5

They're from metroid2002, I got permission and I believe I've been clear on that before.

  • @SmashbrosMaster I was just asking >_>

  • @neerdy5

    That's cool

  • lol fusion suit i would do that but i lost my fusion and my gameboy!!!!!!!!!!

  • how do you get the fusion suit in trilogy? i heard you must complete metroid prime 1 in it, and if thats true how many credits and what kind does it need?

  • @nawaf8studio

If I remember correctly you just need to beat the gane , no credits needed.

  • @SmashbrosMaster Don 't forget, need to link up with Metroid Fusion to get that as well.

  • @nawaf8studio you can get credits 2 buy it

  • @nawaf8studio You need one silver credit and two orange credits(Or one orange and two silver)

    After you beat prime 1.

  • i cant do it man its hard

  • So the NTSC version can side-step while scanning stuff...that it? The PAL version can too...

  • Comment removed

  • I get this done first try every time. It used to be hard but not anymore. I just taught my friend who has never ever evn played before and he did it after 10 mins. of trying.

  • I just can't fucking do this, tried it in many way. If PAL means buying it in EU, then I have the right one. Damn, I'd wish he didn't ude the fushion suit, now everyones comenting stuff that are off-topic. This technique doesn't help me at all, just sucks and frustrates the hell out of me.

  • It just takes practice. I couldn't do it at first, either. You'll get the hang of it.

  • Why is she wearing the fusion suit O.o

  • Connected Fusion with Prime using a link cable

  • easier to get fusion suit in Metroid Prime Trilogy

  • Wow, I can't believe I never though of this! O.o

  • wow i have attemted many time's to do this trick and i cant do it i even have the ntsc version i cant even dash while im scanning this is so hard

  • all u have to do is tap b 2 times by the time u tap the 2nd time quickly! let go of L.

  • Yes u can scan and side step

  • not on trilogy the controls in MP and MP2 have been modified to the controls of MP3 so u can only side step lockin onto an enemy...but u can side step while scannin on the gamecube version

  • i cant do it could you explain it please

  • SCAN IT FIRST!! lol

  • Scanning Items dont do anything... for some... :)

It could've been a can of crack!!

  • what's with the blue suit

  • its the fusion suit from metroid fusion

  • That is awesome. I gonna see if i can do that.

  • i cant do a dash jump while in scan mode, only in lock on mode!

  • when u scan something or try to u lock on it... thats what he did... didnt u notice the "object out of scanning range"?

  • wait a minute... u cant do dash jump even in that way? plz tell me i havent tried :P

  • If you can't Scan-dashjump you have to lock on the seedling enemy on the door out there. Lock-dash jump using this enemy...

I think he made a PAL version of that trick using lock-on.

  • my gamecube is fucked up so im going to try later...

  • never mind, i just do it

  • can you tell me how to do it?

  • it finaly worked!!! now i have 5 missiles and the morphball and i havent defeated hive totem

  • Ya plz tell how ive tried it many times

  • LOOK at your gamediscs data side by holding it up to the light

if near the center of the disc the game says somethying other than GM8E 0-00 or 0-01 you need to try the PAL method

  • ok i want to no how to do that and what does PAL version mean

  • european ver.

  • lol fusion suit looks like clay

  • WHAT SUIT IS THAT

  • The fusion suit from Metroid fusion.

you need a GBA, Metroid Fusion and the GBA/Gamecube connector cable to get it.

Easy way to get gamers to buy extra gaming products :P

  • hacker¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Its called sequence breaking....

  • ive tryed and failed every time :(

  • do you have to do it when you first start

  • lol you used cheat

  • or maybe you used a pal version

  • No. Scan dash doesn,t work on PAL. And lol he don,t use cheats he use dash jump.

  • lol

  • wow nice technique

  • cant.... do it and i hav emailed him on yt

  • W00000T!!! Got it on my 3rd try!!!

  • lol that suit is the From Fusion where Samus where Infackted with the X yeah ^^

  • I have the version that comes with the Metroid 2 demo disc. What you have to do is lock-on (not with your scan visor) to the first Seedling in the room across from your ship that leads to the Impact Crater and then back up in such a way so that your lock-on doesn't pass over the door, go to the back right corner of your ship, then when you go to do the actual jump, hold right and DOUBLE TAP "B" and as soon as you hit B a second time immediately let go of "L" and you should go right to the ledge.

  • wow that helped me.

  • I did my first playthrough with action replay, and I thought the begining was when you wre SUPPOSED to get it.

  • it dosin,t worke for me

  • how can i do this with the american version?

  • this is so hard to do i just keep falling off...

  • Thank you comments, I finally got it

  • NOT WORKING!

  • you have to let go of l after you push b

  • word

  • wat is pal ? is it were u change her suit in the menu ?

  • PAL version is the European Version of the Game, NTSC is American

  • wats pal mean?

  • I have the regular game and it works just fine every time. Thank you for the vid.

  • You know what sucks?

I've tried both ways, and still have yielded the same results. Both dasches are slow! That looks extremely fast to me!

  • try pressing B on the dash twice at the beggining helps me

  • ok i been doing this for like 30 minutes and i haven't done it right.can someone please me?

  • I'd love to do this but however.........

I HAVE THE FUCKING GODDAMN PIECE OF SHIT PLAYERS CHOICE VERSION!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

is their anyway to get the original version or am I screwed?

  • If you do have to players choice version, it is still possible to do, but you have to use the PAL version method.

  • you can get space jump on players choice version thaers a vid on it

  • finally i got it =), thanks man

  • i tried a hundred times. how did you do that?

  • this can't be the PAL version as they removed scan dashes in the PAL version

  • wow how old is this...

  • do u need the fusion suit?

  • i just figured out i have the player's choice version. If i have this version i can't get any thing early right?

  • It makes no sense, i tried at least a million times and i didn't get it

  • Never mind I finally got it today! thank you anyway

  • I keep trying and trying i just dont get it... how do i do a normal dash?

  • That's the fusion suit you n00b, there's nothing wrong with the colors

  • Did someone say you have to let go of L lock in the middle of the space jump?

  • i swear she's the wrong colour... :S

  • no its the fusion suit from metroid fusion...duh

  • 0-00 and 0-01 are first release ntsc and 002 is the player's choice version. Note that the metroid game which came with the echoes demos IS THE PLAYER'S CHOICE version.

  • im so confused i try and try and i can,t what is the trick with scan scan the thong infront and then how do the dodge with the scan visor?

  • There's no trick there, it works exactly like the Combat visor L-lock.

  • how can i know what version i have?

  • depends on where you live, If you live in the Americas you most likely have the North American version, I think anywhere else (Japan, Europe and Austrlia) is the PAL version.

  • Take out your disk from it's case then turn the disk over look for numbers and letters(can't rememeber what it saids) I think they show it like 0.00 or 0 001 or something like that.

  • Also i know i don't have players choice version (cause it doesn't say in huge letters PLAYERS CHOICE) and i can side jump with scan mode but i just never get fast enough to land on the ledge. Alsoi let go off lock on as fast as i can so i don't think thats it either...

  • well i tried doing the boost off of the ship like in the video about ten times and it didn't work, you have to press any fancy controls or do you just boost?

  • You have to let go of the lock on trigger around the middle of the dash

  • yay finally did it i'm glas my metroid is first generation and not players choice ^^

  • lol fusion suit...but that trick is hard if you are like 1% off i cant seem to get it right so props to you for actually getting right =D

  • lol fusion suit

  • beast, is that the suit from fusion?

  • suit from metroid fusion for game boy advance

  • but if you wear that suit what hapens to varia, gravity, phazon do u get those with the suit or does the suit only last til u find the other ones ? :S

  • uh.... no because if u have the fusion suit, u cat keep dat suit untill u turn off the game. fro the gravity, varia, and phazon suits.... well if u have Metroid fusion for Game boy advance the suits will jus turn out the same in that metroid fusion game. For example....... phazon suit (metroid fusion) orange and yellow.

  • wat suit were u wearin??

  • I think SmashbrosMaster is a member of Metroid 2002

  • Well.. I tried tons of times.. and then I let go of L right when I boosted and it worked.. Everytime I do it now it works.. thanks!!

  • Ugh I had the elevator freeze happen to me for the first time. This was after I saved after getting the space jump boots at least I hope so.

  • I tried about 100 times and I did not reach it.

  • <_<. He didn't do this vid. Metroid 2002 did.

  • does this jump work in the PAL version of the game?

  • noobs

  • pls give details on how u do that i'm beggin u is being ages im tryin to do that!!

  • Err... Ok.

In Landing Site, get on the Gunship and take a look at the ledge right of it, against the wall and in between two doors. This ledge is your destination from the Gunship.

  • You have to Dash Jump from the bottom right of the ship to this ledge, but since there are no enemies in Landing Site, you'll have to Dash Jump from a scan point. Switch to the Scan Visor and look for a Glowing Spidervine just above the door past the waterfall, the one that leads to the Artifact Temple. This scan point is conveniently out of your range from the Gunship, yet close enough that you can still lock on to it.

  • When ready, move as far back on the Gunship as you can go without falling off, then go to the right edge of the turbine and Dash Jump from the Spidervine. There are two different styles people use here; some wait a bit after locking on to the Spidervine, while others dash jump the instant they lock on. Both work, just make sure you release L as soon as you hit B to dash, or you'll probably have trouble getting on the ledge.

  • is this the way to acquire the space jump boots? cos i still havent found those, your help would be greatly appreciated.

  • If you're doing the normal sequence, you need the boost ball which can be found in the Phendrana drifts.

BTW guys I haven't fishished my post up there... I'll finish it down there...

  • Hey, I tried that and it didn't work, maybe my timing is off, by the way: The "combat dash" works only for the PAL version? When I try to do it, the reticule just dissapears from the screen.

  • Thank you very much for the video!

Also, thank you for that last tip...I had been trying it, and the first time I let go of L when I tried dashing, I made it.

Exploits are really fun, especially when you've played through a game a couple of times and want to mix it up a bit. :)

  • man u have to tell me how to do this! i have no clue and i really want to know how to do it.
