David is on my top three guitarists list as far as inspiration for my playing. Hendrix is my first and David Gilmore is my second. I prefer playing blues, but I know talent when I hear it, and sometimes I throw out a mustane inspired lead/rythm in my solos which realy helps spice up the song and gets people pumping. I love him for his dynamics..and as far as I am concerned he is number one when it comes to dynamic playing.

Megadeth was my favorite of all the original thrash bands (NOTE: that does not mean I don't like the others). There was so much anger just exuding from Dave in his music, his mannerisms, and his tone of voice. Plus he's a very underrated musician, in my opinion.

It not becuase he isn't talented it's to add life to the tone. If you don't add effects to the tone you get Killing Is My Business,and Peace Sells tone. Dry, and to let you know reverb is even an effect. And Dave Mustaine uses effects to pretty much everyone does, even Friedman.
