You don't know what you are talking about with the gun. That was months later and the offender was not accused of threatening anyone (it was a hunting rifle in his vehicle) but was arrested and expelled from school.
And if you'd have listened you would have heard why the kids didn't get hate crime charges. Theey were 16 and under (not adults like the Jena 6, except for Bell who was almost adult and has a hell of a criminal record and Beard who was charged as a juvenile from the start and didn't see jail time nor miss much school time) and had no prior records.
ALmost an an adult doesnt count yet the proscecutor saw fit to jail Bell as an adult. so what if Bell had a juvenile history niether the crime nor his age constituted a means of jailing him as an adult. as for the kid with the Rifle explain why no charges where filed criminally for his bringing it on school grounds? So what if it was in his truck the law states that even if it was in his vehicle, the vehicle is on school grounds. So He should have been prosecuted along with the being expelled.

I Hate when people keep saying "Can't we all get along?" Obviously not since our entire existence is based on survival of the fittest. People have been fueding since the begining. As long as thier are people with different views and beliefs then we can never get along. That's just the way it is.
This whole situation is a mess. Here's the point. 1.Those Kids shouldn't have hung those nooses. 2. Those other kids shouldn't of beaten the hell out of the first person they could find. Why can't we all just get along. Skin color means nothing. To bad people still are too ignorant to know that.
Hate criminals? Learn the story before you speak. It was a school-wide riot, and blacks were being harrassed before hand (ex: Shotgun being pulled out on a 16 year old kid, for no reason; Whites bringing hand-guns to school; Neuses being hung on trees). The kid only had a black eye, and he even attended a school dance later that afternoon. 80 something odd years for that? I dont think so...
the kid only had a black eye??!he was unconcious and bleeding!the only reason they stopped at that point is because someone intervened.that kind of behavior is not tolerable from anyone at anytime.
so it's alright for six guys to beat someone in unconciousness? What do any of the other events have to do with them beating up the first white kid they see? It's justified because some other white people did something wrong. That's some scary logic.
I'm never amazed at how much of an entitlement people of non-color believe they should have in 2007. Right is right and wrong is wrong. The next time you sit down at a Thanksgiving table invite a Native American to dinner and ask him/her what he's thankful for.
So glad that Jena's Judiciary system is being examined for their 2 system that they have; Slap on the wrist for whites & Over Gharges for blacks for the exact same or comparable crimes.
Do you really think the circumstances would be the same? White teens going to a majority black public school? White teens trying to stand under the "blacks only" tree?
This kind of thing happens all the time barnacules. The thing Al Sharpton is trying to express is that if it was a black kid that was beaten, 70-80 years in prison wouldnt even be an option. Heck, they probably wouldnt even anymore than a week and a couple of slaps on the wrist(fines/hospital bills).

The "party" people talk about was a ring ceremony that he went to briefly,then left as he was bleeding from the ears & had blurred vision.

You are talking about a case where girls did something wicked, were arrested for it, it was ALL OVER the news, and tens of thousands did NOT march for them (No one did - it was universally accepted what they did was WRONG).
Yet you somehow compare it to the Jena 6 where guys who were of adult age (accept 2) commited a crime in broad daylight (while having criminal records).
The difference is people supported the Jena 6 thugs & made excuses for them. No one did that for those thug girls.

Nooses had NOTHING to do with Barker's attack. Alan Bean made that claim and people jumped on it. He later backed off, but no one paid that any attention.He said he did his part bringing attention to the matter, even if much of what he said was not true.
I'm not trying to cat fight, & don't care how old the video is. Jena 6 trials are still going on RIGHT NOW (plea bargaining and various hearings are). It's CURRENT news.

No it's not bias. youre leaving out facts. Prior to the incident in question, a black kid was beaten up by a group of white students and no one pressed the issue. And the matter of the gun on school grounds (which is a felony) there was no investigation nor chargewss filed by the police and no procecution of that crime by the D.A Reed Walters. Not to mention the hate crime of the Noose being hung from that tree. your president just mentioned that the hanging of nooses constitutes a hate crime.

Nope. Not true. The incident people refer to is one where a group of black kids crashed a private party and a white guy at the private party (not students) started a fight between his friends and the black crashers. The only one arrested was the white guy who started it.
You don't know what you are talking about with the gun. That was months later and the offender was not accused of threatening anyone (it was a hunting rifle in his vehicle) but was arrested and expelled from school.

Theey were 16 and under (not adults like the Jena 6, except for Bell who was almost adult and has a hell of a criminal record and Beard who was charged as a juvenile from the start and didn't see jail time nor miss much school time) and had no prior records.

ALmost an an adult doesnt count yet the proscecutor saw fit to jail Bell as an adult. so what if Bell had a juvenile history niether the crime nor his age constituted a means of jailing him as an adult. as for the kid with the Rifle explain why no charges where filed criminally for his bringing it on school grounds? So what if it was in his truck the law states that even if it was in his vehicle, the vehicle is on school grounds. So He should have been prosecuted along with the being expelled.

Yes. Actually it does. Because of his record. If you really followed this case you'd know that Louisiana does have clauses for trying 16 year olds as adults if they have a significant enough record.
The DA still believes (as do other lawyers who have commented on the matter) that he could have won an appeal, but he decided not to do it at the request of the Governor becaus eof the protests.
