  • Jordan Davis ran xc at Alderson-Broaddus before he left for Auburn I believe. I went to A-B on a track/xc scholarship the year after he left. I heard some pretty funny stories about him.

  • my fastest is 4:45, 4 laps around a football field, and i am 14

  • @NgTuCkEr64360 around the football field or around the track?

  • @NgTuCkEr64360 After some annoying math, I found out that that's 400 meters short of 1 mile. 4:45 for 1200 meters is about 1:40 for each lap of a track (400m). Assuming you could keep that pace for another lap, you'd be running a 6:20ish mile. For a 14 year old, who by the sound of it isn't a runner, that's pretty good. I'm 16, and run a 4:46 mile as of 2 months ago (haven't ran just a mile since, my XC season is still going on). For the indoor track season, I'm hoping to get into the 4:30's.

  • @SpecktrickTube i am in XC so i am not the best but there are worse people on the team hehe

  • @NgTuCkEr64360 You should run a mile on a track, see how you do.

  • Fastest time 3:57 before I started smoking weed, drinking, and became a druggy.

  • @TheDudeman619 wow lots of olympic caliber athletes on youtube nowadays

  • @ryan9312 I'm just another has been. Hopefully the kids who read my comment learned a lesson.

  • i wish a can train with a group like that

  • they are so skinny its actually nasttyy haha

  • @tforeignguy you are so fat its actually nastty haha!!!

  • @evanjuggle have you ever seen Arnold Schwarzenegger live? he's small ....

  • the slow people strike their heel

  • @vichuit probably overstriding to keep up with the faster people

  • 1 minute mile only if you are elite.

  • Did those three guys end up running it under 4 minutes?

  • @Misguidance

Kyle Heath ended up running 3:59.8.

The other two did not (have not yet...I am not sure if they are still running post-collegiality.)

  • @ixBLINDxi danggg barely but he made it. thats awesome. thanks for the post

  • @ixBLINDxi John Butler has kept running, he is a teacher at lower Dauphin high School in Hummelstown PA. near Hershey, he is my cross country coah/track and field coach and he has not broken it yet.

  • I started running my Junior year in highschool and ran a 4:51 now Im a senior and am shooting for a 4:30.

  • my friend is 13 and he runs 5:20 and under miles

  • I want to run a SUB 4 I'm a freshman right now running 4:20's I've got to run with alias and it's possible to run that at 15

  • My best is 5:50 and I'm almost 13 my friend and me share the account so he already said his time

  • @thereaga keep it up, when i was 13 i ran an 8:10 mile...but i dropped it to 4:58 2 weeks before i turned 18....if you keep training u can go under 5 which is a good feeling

  • the feeling is amazing when you break 4 in the mile it took me my senior year in college

  • what's crazy is that you can run sub 4 in the mile and not even make the finals at the olympic trials

  • @davidhudman they don't run the mile at the olympic trials, they run the 1500. a true mile is around 1609 meters

  • @PickledHarrrington duh dude, i was just using sub 4 mile because it's in the video. an equivalent 1500 would be roughly 3:42

  • I've run 50 miles in 9 hours...does that count?

    these runners amaze me.

  • im twelve and 4'6" and run a 615 mile thats not bad

  • @thereaga That's great!!

  • @lukejohnso i dont believe you ran a 4:10 at 15. unless your like Elias Gedyon or somthing that ran 4:07 as a sophmore. whats your name and ill find out for myself

  • i broke 5 but and went 4:55 a few time 4:26 in the 1500 when i was 27 im 42 now with bad knees and I cant even go 6:30. huh but im glad I can still run alittle it just hurts so much.

  • John Butler was a camp counselor for the shippensburg XC Camp this summer... i had NO clue he was 4-minute-mile good! i knew he was an American top 25 runner though. still.. dang,

  • "if it feels easy you ain't running 4min pace" lol

  • @lukejohnso world record is 3:43 not 3:53 just saying

  • wes santee=4:00.5 1953 pray for him as he battles cancer

  • is this plausible? I cannot believe it. one of my 15 yr old friends is a superb athlete and has great genetics and thick running legs( he's 5 foot 1/2 inch tall)

he claims a 52 second school lap(quarter mile) and a 3 minute "lower 50'ish sec" mile.

I can't believe that till i see it. can someone this young with so little formal training get this?

  • @AceofDlamonds wtf? are you trolling?

  • @4241600m

that's how i felt when my little buddy told me this shit...

I don't deny it, but I personally can't believe it unless I see and time it with my stopwatch.

  • @AceofDlamonds no never its impossible if he hasnt had years and years of training and as a freshamn yah right

  • @AceofDlamonds The 15 year old world record in the mile is 3:51, so unless this kid runs at the Olympics it is highly unlikely.

  • @narutorox85

ok he just recently retracted that and said 4:21 was his P.E. record, which is more plausible.

  • @AceofDlamonds That makes much more sense, especially when paired with that 400 time.

  • @AceofDlamonds he is too short with not enough experience and would need much faster than a 52 second 400m

  • @anw36

As it turns out, it was a complete lie lol. His real time was like 5.15

  • @AceofDlamonds hes obviously lying if this was true everyone would know who he was only 4 high schoolers have broken the 4 minute mile and all were seniors so hes lying

  • @TheTechBible

yeah my latest comment confirmed his actual time was like 5 minutes 40-something seconds. It was exaggerated lol.

  • Have they done it yet?

  • i wish i could use them as my car, great gas mileage

  • lol no offense to anyone but those shorts look kind of gay....

  • @RedDeadProductions1 No offense but i think you're the most immature person in the world. They wear that for the lightest gear possible.

  • @pspdudue23 ok i know but i still think it looks gay no offense

  • @RedDeadProductions1 u don't wear those shorts cuz u feel uncomfortable when people can see ur small little penis right? Don't lie u lil tic tac dick.

  • @flame123652 ??? no i dont like short tight shorts ok also i like how you bring penis into this fag..

  • @RedDeadProductions1 u just said u like how i talk about ur lil baby carrot. way to contradict urself. ur dick so tiny, only ime a girl gives ua b j is when she needs a quick floss

  • Comment removed

  • @flame123652 goddamn your stupid..... i didnt mean i like it jesus christ seriously you worry about penis to much i bet yours is only 4 inches you little prick

  • @RedDeadProductions1 well u were being a troll so fuck you, ur family , ur pet, and ur tiny little baby penis.

  • i ran the mile in 3 minutes, 30 seconds today so im not thinking about breaking the 4 minute mile, im thinking of breaking the 2 minute mile

  • @zippo7224 ur the biggest lier ive ever heard of, if u broke the world record for the mile you wold be on the news

  • @DARKSTAR256 my best mile is 1minute 20seconds an i dont need you to believe me because i can just prove it to the people that go to the track and i already have, i ran a mile in 1minute 50 seconds with like 20 kids watching

  • @zippo7224 the fast mile was broken in rome and its around 3 44

  • @DARKSTAR256 yeah, that was the fastest recorded mile

  • @zippo7224 ur mile had to be recorded if u did it in a minute and 20 seconds

  • @DARKSTAR256 yeah its was recorded by me

  • @DARKSTAR256 don't mess with @zippo7224 he's just a tool who chooses to troll on youtube. he has no friends and this is his life, bragging about something he can't do.

  • @Itsrothytime lol yeah, ur right

  • @zippo7224 lol noone has ever even ran a mile in 3 minutes, and you say 1 and 50 seconds. Put a video up of you doing it and you will gain world fame, until you do that everyone will believe what your saying is bullshit.

  • @zippo7224 u must be retarded or something cause the world record for the mile is 3:43, and u would have to average just under 20 seconds ever 400 meters, and the record for that is 43 seconds

  • @zippo7224

    No you didn't.

  • what about the 2 minute mile

  • Videos make running look so slow. I think I look faster than these guys and I struggle to get past 7min miles.

Hopefully all 3 achieved their goal.

  • im in7th grade rite now my fastest is 5:51 haha my goal is to break it nxt year

  • Anyone know if they ended up breaking 4 minutes?

  • Kyle Heath went under four this past indoor season.

    Kyle Heath (unattached)...3:59.89i*...(4) New York City...March 05

  • I envy Freshmens who do cross country and run 9:04's with 4:30 minute avg miles. That is amazing I'm only a freshman and I'm training to break 5 minute.

  • if you watch the guy in the middle at 3:22 it looks like hes grown 2 inches! :)

  • LOL! That is the magic of editing, my friend.

  • You can't compare the two sports. They are both extremely hard and take worlds of dedication plus natural talent.

  • German Fernandez 3:56! mile

  • I love it when people have no idea what they're talking about.

  • Schwarzenegger was a BODYBUILDER. Raw muscle building requires much less athletic ability than any real sport. Anybody can go to a gym and get big arms. I takes a TRUE ATHLETE to run a four minute mile...

  • You think bodybuilding is easy? Ask yourself this: if looking like Arnold is as easy as doing a few curls in the gym, why doesn't every guy look like Arnold? Oh, steroids you say? Yes, Arnold and most others did them, but that doesn't explain how natural bodybuilders look so good. Do you know how hard it is to not only build but maintain muscle while dieting down to 3% body fat? Your body was not designed to be that lean. Yet these guys live in that dieting hell half the year.

  • Dieting hell! Bodybuilders eat shit loads!

  • @DerrenBrown100

Bodybuilders only eat "shit loads" during off season. During competitions they diet down to 3-4% bodyfat. A very difficult thing to do. Try it sometime.

  • Seb Coe was below 1% you moron!

  • @DerrenBrown100

ROFL. He must be dead then.

  • No just very lean

  • Arnold is one of the best bodybuilders of all time just as Bannister is one of the best runners of all time. Both devoted their lives to their sport and put in countless hours to achieve their goals. Their success was attributable to rare genetic qualities as well as tireless work ethic. I'm not sympathetic whatsoever to your distinction between the two

  • U R Very WRONG! Arnold schwarzenegger could not run a 6 minute mile. He is too big. Next he could not win these guys in a sprint. These guys could crush him in a sprint!

  • @EvanJuggle

That's as stupid as saying "well, Bannister couldn't squat 2 times his bodyweight, and sucked at pushups."

  • arnold swhatzneggerer had stronger legs!

  • sir roger understood bio chem. that is how he made it look easy on low milage. chech out the pasture affect.

  • When you read about Roger Bannister and his training (or lack thereof) it boggles the mind.

  • everyones arms are so tiny. they look like a t-rex.

  • one of the sacrifices runners make.

  • did you guys get it yet?

  • what are the three main guys PR's in the mile?

  • awesome video!

  • fuck'n a

  • Beautiful words.

  • U R Right!
