  • Sie es gut

  • It's very too fast for beginner

  • 1:44 I think is backwards, you wrote Wie geht es Ihnen? as informal and Wie geht es dir? as formal...

  • @sxcpaintball Yes, it must be the other way round. (Wie geht es Ihnen= formal).

  • I am sooo happy i found your page... I am moving to Vilsek in about 3 months and i am in a panic mode to try and learn as much german as I can... You are great thank you so much....

  • germany capital

in österreich ist es wien - und schweiz bern :)

ich hasse es wenn die leute glauben german ist nur deutschland ... in österreich schreiben und sprechen auch deutsch :) aber Gutes video

  • I am confused, my german professor told me Wie geht es Ihnen was the formal, and the dir was informal

  • I heard better, and the teacher corrected the little problem, when she said that "wie geht es ihnen?" was formal.

  • I thank you for these videos. One comment I would like to add is, that during the lesson 1 in the dialog; "wie geht es ihnen?" was used as formal (I say so, because "guten tag was formal too, and was used with it) , but herein, the text shown in the blackboard let us see it is informal. I feel a little confused because of that. But do not missunderstand me, I find this very useful and makes everything easier. Thank you again!

  • I respect all of you, this is amazing.really girls can achieve alot of things

  • hallo, i'm male and i like your video =) much respect for girls =)

  • I like your video :-)

  • That Charlies checkpoint kind of looks crappy.

  • After the world war in 1949? ww2 ended in 1945 last I checked, perhaps you were only speaking about the seperation of East and West gemany?

  • @drakegod84 to be fair, she's teaching German, not history

  • I love you. I will earn German.

  • Ernsthaft, lern English bevor du versuchst jemand Deutsch beizubringen. Das ist peinlich...

  • hallo eva! zu erst, das machst Du soweit ganz gut. ...aber schätzchen, bitte, bitte, versuch mal nicht "wood be" sondern "would be" zusagen. ...und dann ist da noch eine sache: entspann dich! du scheinst sehr aufgeregt zu sein. das brauchst du aber nicht, stell dir einfach vor "du gehst grad nen paar neue schuhe shoppen", ok? ab und an würde auch ein lächeln nicht schaden, weil du sehr ernst rüberkommst. (oh man, warum hatte ich nicht so eine scharfe deutschlehrerin?!?)

  • how do u say i am from mexico in germen

  • @Catracha258 "Ich komme aus Mexico"

  • Very nice! Thanks..

  • Wow, you sound very excited!...I think...

  • Cool history lesson and an excellent German lesson. Danke!

  • Wie geht es dir i think is informal no ?

Wie geht es ihnen is formal or i dont know xd

I love ur videos ! Vielen Dank !

  • תודה!

  • At the end of the conversation, the girl from Berlin says "Ich aus Berlin", not "Ich komme aus Berlin"... am I correct?

  • Comment removed

  • @jox3h nein sie sollst " ich komme aus Berlin " Sagen

  • @jox3h that was a bad example, its a very fast way to answer. not exactly correct but its okay. just say ich komme aus berlin, thats the right sentences

  • I think at the beginning of this video (and also video one) the formal and informal versions are reversed. At 1:39 it says that Wie Geht es dir is the FORMAL and that Wie geht es Ihnen is the INFORMAL. In fact, it should be the other way around, correct?

I enjoy your videos and they are helping me learn some basic german to reinforce what I am learning in my class. Thanks.

  • my name is .......... the real slim shady!

     seriously, good lessons. Thanks

  • So, "Ich heiße" is like saying "My name is" ?

  • This is so cool :)

  • I like your.. everything.. have u ever been to Spain??

  • thank you so much for your fantastic teaching program.

  • How are you - Formal = Wie geht es "dir"?? Na, da ist euch ein kleiner Fehler unterlaufen ;)

  • Very helpful!!!! Eva you are a great teacher

  • Wie sagt man...I come from America/USA...auf duetsch?

  • @andalora91

That means... Ich komme aus Amerika/USA

  • im confused i thought Wie meant how or when not what

  • @reno17420 do you mean "wie heißt du" which corresponds to "what's your name"? the reason is that you can never have perfect equivalence between two languages, that's why you can't translate such fixed expressions word for word from one language to another. In this case the German "wie" corresponds to the English "what"

  • @girl4teaching it also directly translates to how are you called.

  • @reno17420 in order to learn a language u can't just translate everything. Every language has its own rules.

  • Well done!!

  • @syn7000

    thanks a lot

  • @girl4teaching I recorded my practice of the phrases. How did I do?

  • guten tag :D

  • ähm beim ersten ist des ''wie geht es ihnen/ dir'' vertauscht! :D
