I guess you do not understand what flashing is. To update the firmware use Sony Ericsson Update Service program.

You need to have Sony Ericsson Update Service installed and used at least once because of flashing drivers.

Branded phones have restrictions set by operator. You should ask your operator why they block Flash Menus :P
