Dear Bro., Tribute was collected by Rome, not the Bishops and Elders in the body of the church. Jesus said "render unto Caesar that which IS Caesar's" What was Caesar's had the government inscription on it. This was also "tribute." Evil governments are sent by God as judgment on sin. Hello Thomas. Well aware of Romans 13, i just recently came across 1 Peter 2:16 which I believe affirms the correct teaching of Romans 13 and reveals how it can be twisted. "As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of of maliciousness, but as the servants of God." However v. 13-14 somewhat echo Romans 13. Are the key words "sent by him"? I guess the confusion is leaders SAY they are Christian. But the Word tells that we will recognize another by their love, not their words. Thanks Thomas.

It's very sad to see ppl being duped by Pastors, etc., & some don't even seem to NOTICE it happening to them.
Yet, I've begun to read (alert and non-ignorant Christians), have withdrawn their fellowship from such places. You have said everything that I'd been feeling for quite sometime now. Pastors & the people at diff churches that I'd attended throughout the years, left me w/the sense that God wasn't welcomed there. I in turn, became disgusted at what I witnessed taking place, and a few years ago, stopped attending churches.(I needed to draw nearer to God, not farther away from Him). My point of making this video is that it is my belief that Paul wasn't talking about the civil government in those passages. Although we are to be subject to the laws of the land as I state in the video. I can't imagine being subject to Hitler then. What's the difference now? It's the same satanic force behind this government. If I resist these people then, do I bring upon myself damnation? I think that's a very dangerous misconception.

It appears you're teaching that Paul is making a blanket statement. Anyone who resists the government in any way brings damnation upon themselves. No, the only time someone brings damnation upon themselves if if they reject Christ.

Dear Bro., Tribute was collected by Rome, not the Bishops and Elders in the body of the church. Jesus said "render unto Caesar that which IS Caesar's" What was Caesar's had the government inscription on it. This was also "tribute." Evil governments are sent by God as judgment on sin. We keep the Law of God first, then the laws of man if they do not contradict it.

Not in a curse way like you are talking about. Let me ask you this. Do you believe that the second amendment is against God? Isn't this exact situation the reason why we have a second amendment? So that we are not militarily taken over, even from enemies within our government?

Brother, the testimony of 1 Pet 2:13-25 corroborates the interpretation I have given you above in Rom 13. They are completely consistent. We must die to self. This is more easily said than done. (Rom 6:11,Mt 16:24-25)

Peter and Romans are similar but not the same. Peter is stating to be subject to governing authorities who as he puts it, "...as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, AND PRAISE OF THEM THAT DO WELL" Very basic governing. Romans is talking about church hierarchy. Those who resist the word of God bring damnation upon themselves. Period.

The systems are "ordained of God" and they are raised up by God. They are to do His will, but they do not. The evil they do is a judgment on the sin of the people. Naturally, the people do not believe they are worthy of such judgment The people are stubborn and will not turn in repentance to keep His Law.

He said, "Take up your cross and follow Me." This is not what cult leaders do, by the way. They deny Rom 13, and 1 Pet 2, naturally.

well, if God says I am to provide for my family, I would think that means "provide protection" also. God forgive me if I'm wrong. I agree to submit to authorities until I feel they are making me go against what God says. But the only blanket statement that can be made that would render my damnation is rejecting Christ, the Word. There are strong points on both sides of the debate. I'll agree with that. I pray the Lord really makes this clear to all because it's very important. especially now.

I know you weren't condemning me brother. The verses in Romans state that whosoever "resisteth the power" brings "damnation to themselves." That's why I don't believe God is talking about civil authority in those passages.

Hello Thomas. Well aware of Romans 13, i just recently came across 1 Peter 2:16 which I believe affirms the correct teaching of Romans 13 and reveals how it can be twisted. "As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of of maliciousness, but as the servants of God." However v. 13-14 somewhat echo Romans 13. Are the key words "sent by him"? I guess the confusion is leaders SAY they are Christian. But the Word tells that we will recognize another by their love, not their words. Thanks Thomas.

True true. Good comment. But let's think about this. When in history was the government godly? Not very often. Leads me to further believe that the verses in Romans specifically mean leaders and powers strictly exercising the Word of God as their final authority being the powers spoken of in Romans. The "government of God" are those in the Kingdom (truly born again) and the kingdom within them. google "Problems With Romans 13" seems interesting although I admit I have not read the whole thing.

Yes, there are similarities to Romans 13. This is what I said in this message saying, "yes, we should obey laws" but only if they do NOT contradict what God tells us to do. Good verses to point out. Thank you.

Thanks. When your words line up with Scripture unintentionally, it clearly lets one know the Holy Spirit is speaking through them. I recognized it when i watched this video because i had just read 1 Peter 2:13-18 two days ago. IF more people READ God's WORD, they too would recognize His voice and not challenge and contest you so profusely. Theres a coming antichrist and then at the very end, the real Christ appears from heaven with the sound of a trump and with His holy angels and every eye will see this. Even if you don't believe in the actual biblical second coming of Christ and judgment day (right now ; ), You can know for yourself that the actual account of this is described in a way that is obvious and not something obscure. check out these verses. The fake Christian realm is counting on you not knowing these verses. (Matthew 24:25-27,29-31; Revelation 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 4: 16,17)
