  • he's still comin'!! go bruce!

  • f*** great

  • The rising, magic, working on a dream then this. Bruce you are fucking incredible.

  • it looks much like Neal Morse's ""KING JESUS" check it out. What a cover,I prefeir Neal Morse

  • He should give rights to the whole album to Obama 2012. This should be their slogan.

  • Yes sir and ma'm we take care of our own!

  • I'm 15 and I love it! sorry for the music we have today, but at least this is a light in the generic "darkness"

  • if Gaga sent you here

  • Bruce Springsteen, you are fucking fantastic. 37 years after the single 'Born To Run' was released, and your music still touches my heart. This is music to all those singing nowadays, take note!<3

  • Two Saxes for big mans spot.

  • Shit yeah, Bruce is still Bruce at age 62!!! I admire people like him who believe what they preach, and he still has something to say in 2012! That's more than I can say about a lot of "artists" out there today! Looking forward to see him for the first time this summer! Wonder how they're going to deal with "Big Mans" solo spots??? Anyone who knows?

  • @IHIKML I'm guessing his son Jake will be in the mix. Maybe a rotation of folks?

  • Sounding good Bruce. x

  • Everyone is entitled to their opinions. That is what makes this country great. I have always loved the Boss' music and I agree with him on alot of things, but I disagree on alot of things. Come on people, you don't have to agree with every single thing that an artist says to be a fan. I don't even agree with my best friends on everything. That's called having your own mind. I will always love the music of the Boss and the E Street Band, it's EPIC!!!

  • *Yawn* 1975 called but hung up before leaving a message.

  • i love your music. this song is awesome and so catchy!

  • He is simply DA BOSS

  • "Life of Riley" much? Still love you, Boss. :-)

  • The Boss is back!

  • @MrMakaveli93 when did that old social bitch ever go away

  • It's good but I really want hard-rocking Springsteen. He's mellowed out way too much for my taste.

  • wait..isn't he an actor too? O.o

  • That telecaster sounds an awful lot like an acoustic guitar :)

Has anyone checked out Down on my knees by Casper & The Howling?

  • Springsteen's formula: Driving music with a chorus that screams jingoistic patriotism....all masking biting criticism.

It's honest too. It's clear Springsteen is a patriot and loves this country, but knows there is plenty of room for improvement. We need to start taking care of our own.

    I love it. Obama 2012 !

  • @Puckor Well put, sir. And he's pushing on with the music, too. New sounds, samples, dissonance. Bruce is not resting on his laurels.

  • We like it,even in Belgium....super...

  • Good song!! Like it !!

  • New album !!

  • Bruce is the BOSS and always will be!

  • United we stand!

  • We take care of our own!!!

  • I wish the Republican Party would listen to this

  • @iceman32290 He's disillusioned with Obama. 'The road of good intentions have gone dry as a bone, we take care of our own'.

  • @iceman32290 I wish bruce would idk play music like he gets payed to do and not spout off when he knows right or wrong people didn't pay for his fucking opinion

  • @iceman32290 Democratic party is no better. That's why I wlll not affiliate with either. All politicians look out for themselves to get re-elected. It's sad how much Congress gets paid and don't do jack for our country and a police officer has to work two jobs to make ends meet.

  • @joshua59771 That's not just politics, that's capitalisme.

  • @GwnArne I love the music of Bruce, but I just think it's funny that capitalism has afforded him to make all of the albums, all of the materials to make each album, has afforded all the fans to purchase these albums and concert tickets, has afforded the Boss to rent out venues that were built due to capitalism. Futhermore, Hollywood depends on capitalism to produce cinema, actors depend on it etc..and then when musicians and actors become millionaires, then they preach against capitalism.

  • THIS IS THE RON PAUL THEME!!!!

  • London, Ontario, would really like to hear this song.

  • Lightning Seeds - Life of Riley

  • LEGEND!

  • we take care of our own ..... wish the british goverment would lissen to this !!!!!!! bruce for pm

  • Bruce's songs are 'alive'!!!!!!

  • hasn't he got any new ideas these days? with people saying that this is a rip off of siouxsie and the banshees and a flock of seagulls.don't get me started with him ripping off ian mcnabb on girls in their summer clothes.....

  • @timeblue81 you sir are an idiot...music requires LISTENING ...i suggest you go and do so

  • Not quite, I am sorry you lost a terrific saxaphonist. Maybe let your wife write a few lyrics.

  • Obama takes care of USA!

  • @Wartoz Ugly Shitheads of Africa?

  • just garbage

  • 12th of July ... see you in Vienna! :)

  • New Single.! :)

  • Can't wait for Buffalo!

  • CAAAARRROS AMIGOS?????????? c por acaso alguem souber de um SHOW de BRUCE

    ME AVIZE POR FAVORRR!!!!!!!!!

  • The problem is that we DON'T take care of our own(at least not very well!)

  • Grande boss il numero 1 è tornato

  • what's this sentiment? We Take Care of Our Own? .. what in America? .... right, health care is only for the rich, homelessness is rampant and getting worse .. and anyhow, you should take care of the planet whether or not your flag is flown!

  • Shut up bout it being similar big woops its a springstenn song alri...

  • Does that mean the theme means nothing? :)

  • sucks lol

  • @jimbroadbent07 I keep wondering when I'm going to see just one more LO Fucking L and go on a killing spree. Is that REALLY the best you can up with numbnuts?

  • Check out POL Arida `Land Of The Free` youtube Springsteen should do that one

  • is this the same tune as siouxsie and the banshees "Kiss them for me"?

  • @neilien4 Spot on, it also sounds very similar to Flock Of Seagulls - Wishing, as pointed out by dpz46

  • @neilien4 Flock Of Seagulls did it 9 years before Siouxsie.

  • The great thing about Bruce is the musical complexity. I'd hate to be his producer, because there seems to be 100 tracks they have to EQ...

  • Can't wait for a month!!

  • Did you notice that the rhytm is similar to the Tina Turner's song "The Best"?

  • Can't wait for San Jose!!!

  • Waiting for this song to be played completely non-ironically in a salvation army commercial.

  • We do take care of our own! see ya in tampa

  • yes,the most horrible song of bruce springsteen

  • will see the boss in Dublin can not wait

  • Cannot wait to see him March 19

  • I am waiting for the consert in Oslo in july!! Thank you, boss!!

  • if everybody took care of their own the world would be a much nicer place !

  • I'm waiting for the concert in Milan (Italy). Go boss, go!

  • There's only one like this!!

  • This is real music bruce you rock.

  • Bruce, can I marry your voice?

  • 39 persons can go back listening to justin biener

  • very nice!!

  • I'm on phalanx rd got a stop at Lairds

  • More dirty liberal propaganda from Springsteen. I love it!

  • @zeroeffects88 I know but I'm a conservative rebulican and Springsteen is my favorite artist, I don't care about his political views, I just love the music.

  • @ManvsMachine7 I'm glad we share that. I'm also a conservative, who loves The Boss. Since I was a kid I have been listening, not that I'm much older now..but seeing him in concert was awesome.

  • I'm a very far-right winger but I love the Boss and his music. If you let his politics get in the way of his music you're doing yourself a disservice. Bruce really owns, and this communicates a universal message. Take care of your community and be faithful to those around you. Take care of your own.

  • @Outlaw289 Since when are the Republicans the party of being faithful or care about our communties? Since when do Republicans care about anything other than Wall Street, BIG banks and the 1%ers? Since when do the Republicans care about our country, the working class folks, our military, our children, our jobs, our health care, our roads, our bridges, our schools, our police, our firefighters, our teachers? The last time a Republican cared about me I was in my mothers womb. Wake up!

  • @ejmilchak I'm not a Republican genius. And when have the Democrats done anything good either? I support third parties

  • Anyone know the expected release date of this CD?

  • @wheebill March 6th

  • @wheebill 6th March in UK, I don't know the US date, sorry. I can't wait though!

  • hehe

  • It's magic!

    Great BOSS!!!!!!!

  • @marcpas no. MAGIC was magic.

  • @Repiv42

    It's always MAGIC!!!

Who is not a fan is fickle, but the Boss do not argue!.

    You're not a fan.

  • Like the kids say...WHATEV!

  • great song!!!

  • This man can do no wrong. And long live The Big Man.

  • if nothing means anything, anything means just what you want it to.

  • Anyone else think there are samples of "Flock Of Seagulls - Wishing" in this record?

  • @dpz46 Good call, checked it out, not sure about samples, very similar melody.

  • @pizt Thanks!

  • @dpz46 Nah great spotting, it is about 98 percent similar. I'm wondering if Springsteen wrote that bit or if his keyboard player just had a tune stuck in his head.

  • @pizt I can't see them copying it like you say, but as soon as i heard it i knew it sounded familar :-) Good job i was brought up on music ha ha.

  • @dpz46 I played it to my girlfriend who is a singer and she heard it too :)

  • Looks like Brucey hasn't learned that Obama is a Fraud 10 times worse than Nixon on his worst day. Watch the Bill Moyers piece on Crony Capitalism...BILL FREAKING MOYERS outs Obama as a total fraud whose 3 Chiefs of Staff all made tens of millions from Wall Street scumbanks and The Boss wants to sing for this Con Artist Flim Flam Man In Lieu of A President ....yet again.

The kool aid must be strong at the White House.

  • @MickeyZhivago Oh no! This is a direct attack against 0bama! "From Chicago to New Orleans?" Bruce is speaking of the cronyism of the Chicago political good-ole-boy system that is 0bama, Emanuel, Daley, H. Clinton, etc. And he's giving Mayor Ray "School Bus" Nagin a sound thrashing too for his mishandling of the Katrina evacuation. Those people certainly take care of their own.

  • @SuckOnTruth I appreciate your reasoning and response. Unfortunately, I can see this going the other way. If you get a chance, go to Bill Moyers website and watch the Crony Capitalism piece. Banks, under Obama, after the Crash, made more money than under Bush. Think about that. Obama's regulations and Dodd Frank - written by the banks and for the banks - codify into law - Too Big To Fail. Obama is OWNED by Wall Street. The guy is a fraud.

Bruce is a force of nature. Hate to see him used

  • @MickeyZhivago No, I believe you and I see things similarly. I agree with everything you've said about 0bama and Wall Street. It's the same thing Bruce has said. 0bama may have been elected with the best intentions, but now it's time to start grading him on his accomplishments not what he wanted to happen. 0bama took care of his buddies on Wall Street and in Chicago...it's the Chicago way that Bruce can see now. We take care of our own.

  • I love you, bruce!<3

  • Bruce the sheep herder guided by the Great american poser.

  • @Grunt6869

We understand you don't like Bruce. You repeated it like a million times in the previous comments. Oh, and the house you are referring to is not his anymore.

  • @Grunt6869

BTW I mean no disrespect. i don't like the tone you use, but I like your art in your videos.

  • @Grunt6869 hold it, the sheep herder's the one that does the guiding, that's why they're called "herders". Do you realize that you're wasting valuable minutes of your life commenting on something you're not interested in? Try getting laid or something, it'd do you a lot of good.

  • Bruce and his sheep

  • @Grunt6869 obviously, you have quite an interest/liking for sheep and that's fine, each to their own, but no sheep were actually featured in this upload, dude. You really need to find a hobby for yourself(not one involving sheep either).

  • This is a real grower and another Bruce song where the title hides the deeper meaning. Can't wait to hear the album march can't come soon enough. As for Bruce not writing material as strong as his earlier days it's subjective, from The Rising to Magic there is some amazing stuff.

  • Springsteen is the greatest ever songwriter in my opinion....and the quality of his output since the turn of the century in testament to his enduring talent. No other songwriter in the history of poular music has managed to articulate the human condition through adolescence, youth, relationships, middle age, and finally the twilight years as brilliantly as he has. His message is universal as well, although he has always used american symbols to emphasise his message.

  • i never heard a bruce springsteen song i didnt like

  • Where is the Boss?

  • Comment removed

  • how does he still can be so awesome?<3

  • Music is music to the ear of the beholder!!!

I love Bruce Springsteen for what he does to mine!

His melodies are exactly what I WANT to listen to.

For those of you who don't feel the same ... well maybe listen to something else and let The Boss create his magic for those who love and appreciate it.!!!!

  • No doubt about it! Bruce Rules again! I''v been listen this song again and again!

Cant wait for the new album!!!

  • the boss is back!

  • Ever since i listened to his album "The Rising" i have been hooked on Springsteen, he (and especially that album) are fucking amazing

  • @Alfalfa2210 i would sign those words!!

  • Looking forward to the new album and the isle of wight festival

  • It's a superb taster for the new album..great lyrics, great message, and great tune.

However, great lyrics and music is what I have come to expect from Bruce over the 30 years or so I have been a huge fan. The quality and consistancy of his work over 40 years is astonishing and for me puts him in a class of his own as a songwriter.

  • Got a "Magic" feel to it. Which is some of his best work. Dayum Boss! He's taught me I'll never grow too old to ROCK OUT!!!

  • sounds like Beach Boys - Wild Honey!!!

  • @ChrissyboyH44 YES!!!!!!! You are so right!!!! I didn't know that other's knew the Beach Boys existed! :o)

  • @mollyjowilbury somebody told me that to be fair coz I've been wondering what the Wild Honey song was for years, tonight I finally found out! :)

  • @ChrissyboyH44 As we say in Scotland are your lugs painted on?

  • oh man, this voice.... its so impossible not click on the replay buttom

  • Cant wait to listen to something new from the Boss!

  • on 10 june in florence! We see there big Boss!!

  • Our "own" are from all countries! England first that were wanting to worship God as they choose and not have to be in a government church to thrive! Catholic, Morman, Islam, Judaism, Christians, Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism., Bahá'í Faith, dharma, karma, Taoism, Confucianism, Shamanism, Native American religions, Austronesian, Australian Aboriginal traditions, Chinese folk religiions and new religions breaking off from major religions. USA land of the free and home of the brave!.

  • Great song. Hoping "Obama Team" sees and hears this! Obama/Biden 2012! Promotes government of the people, by the people and for the people!

  • The song is about the Zionist Jews taking care of their own. The Goya are a done. They own the US Federal Reserve, US Hollywood, The US Congress, the US Senate, the US President, the US Fortune 500, the US Medical System, the US Judicial system. They take car of their own! If you are not a Jew you will be crushed! Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich & Obama are all Zionist Masons. Wake up people! Who has got all the world Gold and Money!

They are destroying your world to build theirs!

  • Ron Paul Theme Song Please

  • The Boss is the Boss

  • Bruce speaks of his own from the vantage point of looking down from the mansion on the hill with his daughter in the stables of the elite getting ready for her next horse show. However the sheep will once again buy the created image of the great American poser as the show must go on..

  • @Grunt6869 Thanks for the interesting insight. Makes one think about these things...But in any case, it doesn't mean he doesn't mean well. Sometimes, those in vantage points are more able to get things across for those who can't. Just a thought...

  • @RitaTheSlack A Poser who can get things across to those those who cant , That's cute ya ever give it a thought to check Springsteen's background or the meaning of poser.

  • @axlroulley as a point of order my friend bruce has had an album sence magic ie radio nowhere called working on a dream

  • "I've been knocking on the door that holds the throne"

Yeah. We all know Bruce is/was an 0bama supporter. He seems tired of constantly asking when things are going to get better and they never do. He's finally doing the right thing and challenging the current regime. Keep knocking Bruce, but you know 0bama isn't going to answer. We take care of our own.

  • A lot of you will probably smite me for saying this but I think the song is really uninspired. It's a good song but the simplicity of a diatonic melody and repetitive lyrical structure sort of mimics We Found Love. I know, how can you compare Springsteen with Rihanna, but the song doesn't do much for me standing next to his other works. Lyrically it's brilliant, so... 3.5/5

  • @DashyTerix - I agree. I've often wondered why singer/songwriters lose it when they get older (lose the ability to write both lyrically & melodically good songs). Springsteen, Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen-there isn't one of them who has sustained the songwriting ability they had when they were younger. Painters can. Writers can. Why can't songwriters? Paul Simon has said it's because they are born with a certain number of melodies & the well just runs dry. I agree.

  • @ApocalypsePlough You're putting your lens on songwriters expecting them to write the same song over and over. Most writers write the same book over and over, paitners paint the same thing over and over.

  • @TheFaxReport - no I'm not. You clearly missed the meaning of my posts.

I don't want Springsteen or any other singer/songwriter to write the same thing over and over again. I like good lyrics and a good melody. It seems to me that older singer/songwriters don't have a problem with lyrics as much as they do with melody. And, I think melody is more important.

Also, most writers do not write the same book over and over.

And most painters do not paint the same picture over and over.

  • @ApocalypsePlough Picasso ran out of ideas near the end and started doing his own versions of paintings by the masters and reinvented them with his own style and angle and those works are as revered as his earlier stuff.

  • @eamonreillydotcom - you're talking about Picasso, but what about other painters? They all have a style, but they don't keep repeating the same painting ..... they keep repeating the same style.

As far as being revered, the critics are very sycophantic when it comes to Springsteen

It is reverence that is often unjustified .... he could do a CD called "Farting in Freehold" and they'd all give it 5 stars. They have completely lost objectivity when it comes to him.

  • @ApocalypsePlough I know what you're saying and agree up to a point. But isn't it great to see him still rocking even after two of his band have recently passed on. If this album isn't an instant classic, I can forgive him because it gives him an excuse to tour and I'm heading to his concert in June. He is very inspirational. He could have just retired, like David Bowie did, and nothing less would have been thought of him but he just keeps rocking. His concerts are excellent.

  • @eamonreillydotcom - well, maybe David Bowie felt that, at age 65, he was too old to rock 'n roll. Rock 'n roll is the music of youth and rebellion .... it's a young man's game, and I applaud David Bowie for not pretending he's 25 years old. He does do some touring and works with other singers and he acts. He's not completely retired. And, so what if he was? Rock 'n rollers should age gracefully .... not like the Rolling Stones. The music and image should reflect their age.

  • @ApocalypsePlough Leonard Cohen is doing the best touring and work he's ever done at 73 years old. He has a new album out soon too. If Picasso could paint into his nineties then why not songwriters/singers too? That's ageist. Who says rock and rolls for the young. Led Zep had a great concert a few years back. Pink Floyd had a great concert too. Paul McCartney's still doing it. Why not??

  • @eamonreillydotcom - Leonard Cohen is not a rock 'n roll singer. He's more of a poet.

My point about singer/songwriters is that none of the most famous of them - Springsteen, Dylan, Joni Mitchell, et al - have been able to to write great songs like they did when they were younger. None. And, don't you think there's something unsettling and sad, seeing these old geezers in their 60s and 70s acting like they were 22? I do. Rock is supposed to be about youthful rebellion.

  • @ApocalypsePlough Bruce has become more folky as he's gotten older, something like Madonna, singing about sex at 70 or whatever age she is is embarrassing, but Bruce keeps it fresh, his voice is still fantastic and his live shows are still unreal. They play to their strengths,Bob Dylan just found new ways to right songs,I don't think any of them act like they are 22 to be honest...and if they did it would only be because rock music is dead these days.

  • @ApocalypsePlough That's ageist! Who exactly said it's about YOUTHFUL rebellion?? It's about rebellion only. Bruce and the other living legends are REBELLING against ageism and preconceptions. What you are saying can be said about actors too. And writers. And anyone who starts taking their art in different directions with the passing situations in their lives. Bruce isn't writing now about dating teenage girls. He's writing stuff that's about his life, etc. Neil Young is still rockin' too.

  • Love the Boss, Radio Nowhere in my opinion was the worst song on last album..O yeah, I'm conservative, but you have to accept music as music..I love the Boss, and musically he is a genius, but hell, he has probably 6 years less education than I do, so while I respect his views politically, I can't say I have any need to endorse them..

  • I'm a big fan of the boss, but if you know that Radio Nowhere was the first song for the previous album, then this song really sucks. Hope the rest of the album is better!

  • @Bartolomeus007 radio nowhere wasn't on the last album, it was the one before. Jesus. Working on a dream?

  • @chrissieboy144 'wild honey' beach boys

  • @pjc2007 thanx so much, ur a star!! :)
