im just asing a question in general about SSony Vegas, you know hwo you select the tab video fx or media generator, project media.. well my Tab for video FX isnt there anymore, so now when i place clips onto the track, i have to right click and do it like that =( anyideas?

@OreoRosabell It changes how long it takes for the move/slide to do within that time fram the smaller and clother together the bullets are the faster it does the action, the more apart they are a lot slower.

I used to ride... Rode for 12 years but my riding horse passed away havent really ridden in 3 years, i "sat" on a horse and walked it for like 5 minutes just for fun, bare back. But no not any more.

Having it on Draft or Preview will NOT effect the rendering, those options are only there so that you can "dumb down" the video quality for edition because som computers cannot process it in high quality (best) smoothly especially when you have 30-40 clips in it and such.

@mandojbfan You need to make a new video layer then make sure you have text that has a transparent backroudn when selecting them its the text files that have the checkerboards behind them, or while ur editign what it says in the box you can go to the settings/preferances of that box and set the backround to transparent.

Just wondering, how do you get more fonts? And also, how do you change the size so you can go all the way to the edges? I have trouble with that when I'm doing textures. Thanks so much, this has been really helpful!

You can either change the size of the texting layer by editing the Frame Size when in the Generated Media/Text Editor Box.

or you can Pan crop is to the correct size.

Aswell as right clicking and going to Switches > Maintain Aspect Ratio [Uncheck it]

and fonts, you can get from free font websites, just google for Free Font Downloads.

when i drag the text into the timeline, the text editor does not appear, and i can't change the text to something different than sample text, what do i do to change it? can you help?

Like on the video tracks there is an Instant editor button on each clip, If you click the 3rd/Top mini button(icon that looks like a Movie film clip) on the right side of the Text clip, it should bring up the text editor. Or you can right click and towards the top of the list you'll see Edit Generated Media.

I hope this helps you.

If not it's probably because you pulle dthe window off screen, you may want to try loading the default window layout.
