stupid Mac or Apple it is a piece of shit... people needs to think.... Lenovo Thinkpad... it is waterproof... literally you can dive into a pool with it and still working fine.... I own one and I have done the waterproof test on it and look... still working just fine!!!

If I were you, I'd just buy a fancy monitor, keyboard and mouse and use it as your desktop computer. Believe me, you'll love it and it'll save you lots of money, instead of having to buy a brand new one!

Also, if you're good with electronics and your warranty is out, you could just open the case and see if either the motherboard, the screen or the ribbon cable to the screen is damaged.

If either the screen or the cable is damaged, you can repair it easily and cheaply by yourself.

If you want applecare to repair laptop, never tell them it's damaged from water damage. They won't cover water damage. They might find out its water damage and you're screwed, but you might get lucky and get coverage.

Most of the laptops crash if it has water damage, and this is an old version of the MacBook Pro.

I do have Apple Care. But haven't heard anything from the service guys yet, so I don't know if the Apple Care will cover this. Otherwise I just have to buy a new. :)
