Hunters don't use mana as a resource no more. In cataclysm, hunters gain focus, same as your pet, your spells will cost focus instead of mana. +1 for hunters

pre bc aimed shot used to be a timed shot and was a hunters bread and butter then blizzard nerfed everything and made aimed shot instant cast with a fraction of the damage,i havent been full on MM since vanilla because blizz raped the spec so badly but i may be finally able to go back once CATA hits =)

I think hunter pvp is going to suck in cataclysm.. focus seems like a crap version of energy, going to be hard to build it up for constant burst in like arena's.. nobody has time to fire off multiple steady shots to regain focus with someone chasing them down :S

@TheANB123 no, all the spells till lvl 80 will affect you no matter what, you will still get focus, and u will still be able to see the changes done to kalimdor and the eastern kingdoms. but if u want to be lvl 81+ or make a new class-race combination (troll druids, human hunters, tauren pallys) then u will need to buy cata

I didn't think it was possible.... huntards are even more OP in Cataclysm than WoTLK.

Huntards were the most OP class in WoTLK, 2-3 shotting people with 1.4k resil to max resil, and huntards have a paladin bubble "Deterrence" and a pet, traps, a dispel, MS, range-opener, among too many other things to list. Is this some joke that the most powerful class in WoTLK (with no dead zone) is this OP in Cataclysm? Really? lol.

The crit rate is due to the combination of I have ridiculous crit from all my ilvl 277 gear, all my arp gems turned into 20crit gems as well as my dbw turned into straight crit. Also a new talent in the tree called Carefull aim gives you a 60% chance to crit using aimed shot against mobs with health above 90%.

In 3v3, hunters above 2200 make up 7% of all of arenas. Considering roughly 35% of arenas are made up of healers, that makes hunters 7% of the 65% dps classes.

They are also in one of the top 5 setups for the SK top 100 3v3

This is the actual wow beta.. Keep in mind that aimed shot is now a 2.5 second cast. This is still early phases, so this is all subject to change. My char copied is in pretty close to full 277 icc gear. I probably shouldn't have said open beta in my caption and just used the words "beta". But right now, there isn't much use to using any thing else when running around killing things.
