IS it bad, if I was first day on a snowboard and I´ve learnt this technique?? I mean, should I learn carve? This is my native style, I´ve learnt it myself without help and can ride hill without crash/falling
@sway2000 on my second session without any trainer (even the first one too) i started recording with my camera while snowboarding, i remember that i fell only one time because something got stuck, well other than that snowboarding ROCKS :D
I love me some "steeps". My first time at a big mountain, after having been at my local little one a lot, I hit the bouble black diamond and loved the steepness.
What is "steep"? I went last night and the top of the hill was what I considered way too steep for me. For reference I just started 3 weeks ago, been out 6 times. I can link turns and such fine. But man, the top of that hill had my heart pumping like crazy. I ended up just sliding down it on my edge at about 1 mph. Really though I doubt it was much more than 33 - 35 degrees. Is that "steep" or am I still just too much of a noob and need more practice?
@strokerman01 We've all been there. The steeps, especially after they've been hacked and moguled, are hard for even an experienced boarder to look good on. If you're in over your head, survival is always a good option.
I'm not trying to hate but honestly thats not that steep. I mean I love your guys vids and all but, could you guys start showing us some more advance tricks? I need help teaching my friends how to 540 and stuff but, i don't know how to explain it. Could you please make a video on that? Or at least respond with some tips? Thanks! (Like this comment if you want to see a 540 video!)
@BlackSnowWhiteStreet You're an advanced rider. This vid was made for beginner-intermediates. Hint: their speed control tips will help you land that 540.
Thank you guys a ton I just went out for the second time after watching your videos and I'm already able to get down the hill pretty well. Your linking turns video will help a lot. Thanks!
I've only snowboarded on steep slopes >.< Never been to a mountain or park and have to practice on the steep hills by me. I've always just straight lined them lol so hopefully when I go to a mountain or park I wont be a newbie :D
Thank you so much for the tip! I finally made it off the bunny slope, but I was doing falling leaf all the way down because I didn't know how to control my speed. Now I do!
I really like that you're back !!!! Tks for all the videos, they are awesome and help me a lot, specially because I live in Brazil and have not many times for praticing (just on the snow trips once a year) !!!!
Thanks for another great vid. I think I've been pretty much doing what you describe in this clip, I guess I just need to practice as much as I can on the steepest runs I can find. I always tense up a little bit on the steeper runs if the surface is really compacted or icey which usually results in me catching an edge and hurtling down the slope on my back taking out skiiers like a human bowling ball!
This is steep? hehe
