this is the guitar i have its magic enough said.... the 57' humbuckers make it sound amazing with drive and clean for jazz you gotta love a semihollow, but whats even better is that the smaller body makes it resonate less for virtually no feedback with gain but it still sounds sexy for jazz

def the 339, i own an Am Std Strat 08 and its great but the VG is a gimmick, the 339 us a guitar you can keep for life. if you want fender though better hurry prices going up big time soon.

I have owned alot of guitars. The VG is a joke. No real tone. I bought it and returned it in less than a week. Go with either an American Strat or the 339. No contest for a vg its a fad

Better play a few of these Es339, as Gibson has got sloppy with consistant quality. Buyer beware...I played four of them an donly one was somewhat acceptable - others need a fret dressing and more which should not be the case on a guitar of this cost - just a normal set-up IMO.

Great playing! What can you say about this guitar?

I am choosing between one of these or an American Standard Telecaster 2008. I know they are probably very different guitars, but what´s your feeling and opinion about the ES-339?

The only way to know which guitar is right for you is to play both. I have an American Telecaster myself and it is a great guitar. But there are certain things it won't do. I have to use my SG or My Les Paul for certain sounds and then I have to use my Strat or my Tele for other sounds. I have been looking at one of these es-339's myself and I will tell you this much, it is a much more versitile guitar in my opinion. You can get a lot of very different tones with it.
