Even State Government isn't supposed to collude with corporations as this is illegal, but if they did would be harder for them to effect National regulations & would be easier to root out by the people. @danz177 ... Yes, but practical politics makes collusion inevitable. They just call it "cooperation. States did it all the time in the 1800's with the railroad barons. When J.P. Morgan intervened in the Panic of 1906, he colluded with the government. All collusion does not corrupt. There just has to be regulation so that the rules of the game are fair, but in capitalism you cannot remove government collusion with business. It started with wealthy landowners writing the Constitution.
