Even newer homes being built on the 17 end of the runway -- this video, landed 35. Due to a large reservoir attracting new homes and unfortunately a right hand pattern won't fix noise problems. Trees are that close, makes one really pay attention at night for the threshold green lights to stay green and not "blink"!
Cool video.. my primary comment would be to try and add other action going on for context. For example as you capture the localized focus on the VOR indicator for a few seconds and spend more time with the camera looking out the front of the plane. Yes I know we'll see the prop but we spend too much time looking out the side ride in airliners. I want to see out the front. :<)
Of course coming from a IR rated pilot who almost never gets to see IMC I'm just jealous.
I absolutely agree with your comments, but unfortunately (or fortunately for me) somebody needs to tend to flying the plane, and I took that honor. I do have several videos on my channel that I had a passenger do exactly what you suggest. JAN ILS is one, a couple to HKS.
Of course when I am by myself, camera is least priority since it doesn't keep the plane upright.

Maybe you need to come up with a headset mounted camera so we can keep up with wherever you are looking. :<) That would be kinda cool.
Ever make it out West towards the Rocky Mountains.. I'm in Denver..
