Awe that's awesome! I remember when my trainer was telling me about desensitizing my filly with the tarp, she asked her to walk over it and when she turned her back for a sec, my horse was laying down on it!
and he looked like he was responding really really well to that, that follow up was really great! keep doing what you are doing and he will come along amazingly! well done and good luck

just make sure you do the desensitising with a range of things that he may come into contact with, like tie a plastic shopping bag onto the end of a dressage whip and rub it all over him and flap it around and make heaps of noise with it till he just accepts it and stands there quietly that will help heaps :)

I was talking to Mark today and we both agreed the real test will be when Absolute's being ridden with Teddy. So he said we'll organize to ride together a few times before it's safe for you to get back on Lou :)
I also saw Tina at PC, she said you're welcome to ride Tally whenever you want to get your confidence back! We should go this weekend!

we were talking about that too. because its only ever with teddy! i would love to go this weekend... but i have basketball and work ! might be able to go sunday arvo or something... we'll see :)
i cant wait to ride again! its been so long! its gonna kill though :P all my muscles have gotten weak!
yeah he is coming back to his normal self :) when i saw him last night in the paddock he walked straight into me and just stood there with his head pressed against me, im like 'yep thats absolute again :)'
