@thejohnsmithagain haha wasn't aware of that observation. I guess since I haven't read any of her older, more praised stuff I don't have anything to compare to. I'm not a huge reader either so I guess it's harder for me to be strict when reviewing lol.
@thejohnsmithagain yeah I'm sure it's not for everyone. I wasn't into it at the beginning, but it grew on me a little towards the end. Thanks for your thoughts!
@thejohnsmithagain yeah I did notice some of the religious material in this one was a little heavy, and I felt left out at times because I didn't know too much about certain things, but didn't bother me too much. I think this is actually the first one I've read by her, so definitely gotta check out her older stuff. thanks for your comment!
@criticnic You should definetly check out his other stuff.
The books that I've read by the author of "Let the right one in" are called
"The treatment of the dead" and "Humanharbor". I took my time to translate those titles to english, not entirely sure if you'll be able to find them under those specific titles, but let me know if you do.
@Worminfestedovaries cool man, thanks. well it seems the only book by him available here in the states is Let the right one in. It looks like there's one called 'Handling the dead', perhaps that's a different translation of The treatment of the dead? That one won't be released until September though! thanks for the info. tho man!
@criticnic Yeah, "Handling the dead" is probably the right one.
At first glance on the back of the book it sounds a little bit like a zombie-styled story, but its nothing like that although it has the dead coming back to life to visit their loved ones.
@Worminfestedovaries awesome, sounds very interesting. I think there is a british translation already, may look out for that if it's for a reasonable price.
@criticnic Dont want to be cluttering your commentary up, but
I've been reading his latest one "Människohamn" = "Humanharbor" and its basically about a father who's daughter goes missing on this island where he and his wife lived. He starts drinking and ends up loosing his wife as well. Many years later he decides to go back to confront his past and thats where he starts to learn a dark, but also supernatural secret about the island and its locals.
@SCOTTISHFILMFAN I actually haven't read the book yet myself, though from what I hear it is good, if not better. I agree the movie is awesome! thanks for your comment man!
looks like an interesting book. Great review. I definitely am adding this to my 'to be read' list.

I have to say that I miss reading books.
I used to read alot when I was younger, but for some reason
I've stopped reading.
Great review man.
By the way, have you read anything from the guy who wrote
"Let the right one in"?

@Worminfestedovaries yeah I'm kinda the same way, I just recently started reading again, though with school and stuff I've barely found the time.
I haven't, but loved the movie so will definitely look out for some of his stuff.
thanks as always man!
