I'm going to assume that your American, well here in Europe we have sidecar championships all across our continent, having a sidecar fitted adds a new, complex dimension to how the machine is controlled. Much like auto rallies have a co-driver. In this case the effect of the secondary operator has a much more profound effect. BTW the language is Italian. I guess youy speak American..

Is that engine not the same one that Maico uses, and ATK in their 700cc bikes????

And how does the power compare to a 500cc 2stroke????

@SixSpeedSS No, it is not exactly same it is a Zabel 700cc. In the 80s Zabel somehow licensed or got the rights to build Maico based engines and so while this is, like the current Maicos, based on the 1983 maico 490 it is built completely by Zabel. Maico builds technically a 685, however Zabel builds a true 700cc engine. The stroke and bore on this bike is not the same as the maico.

@tobyeo Very interesting Toby. Thanks for the info. Wish the Zabel 700 wasn't quite so pricey (forget the exact figure), as well as the ATK bike. Otherwise, I could almost see one day trying to build my own, by swapping that bullet into something else. Like perhaps my Husky. Would be fun to have 700cc of 2 stroke single in about any bike.
