Well you should check him out. he's the lead singer and songwriter from the Pogues and in my opinion one of the greatest writers to come out of Ireland. I have to disagree that D. Rice is better. Magowans songs will outlive any of Rices for sure. Fairytale of New York is the most commercial hit of the Pogues so maybe you've heard it but this song is only a small scratch on the surface of Magowans brilliance.
