"I too understand grammar, in fact my speech is exemplary. It isn't a negative statement to say they are British, I just noticed that all the microKorg videos are made by Brits"
p.s. dudes, try to run it through a guitar tube amp, preferrably a Marshall's or Vox AC30 clean channel, tweak the eq section to taste, and put a stereo set of mic's on the cabinet, you'll be surprised.
Did it with a Juno 106, and it sounds awsome, makes it way bigger, and gives it an analog sauce.
You rule cool dude, tonight i'm picking up my MicroKorg, and you type a lot are the reason i want to obtain one. the first sound i try will be your organ (although i have a Farfisa)
That first chord you played sounded like a fair example of a Mellotron string patch! Brilliant! I'm always on the lookout for Mellotron sounds - your organ setting is great as well.
Thanks for the this video, the organ sound is really great! But unfortunately my microKORG doesn't sound like yours even though I select exactly the same settings! It sounds a little like it, but it doesn't sound as much as a church organ as yours :-( I don't understand why.. Sux cuz I really want that organ sound :-(
Well, that's a pretty cool sound, but I would have first erased the preset patch (Shift + 3 + 3) then built it from scratch, add some EQ and effects, and all that other stuff like a second voice that's +12 seminotes higher- Also, d.9 lol? It's Dig, it means that it's DIGITAL waveforms! But yeah, nice patch anyways, but it would be alot more informative if you didn't build it up from a preset.
Thank you.. I just ordered my Microkorg today.. Im not quite shure what I'll use the Electronica setting for either.. So if you've got any more tutorials, please post! =)
d comma 9?? i thinks thats DIG for digital lol. good tutorial tho thanks bro

Very nice sound! Got a bit of Dracula to it somehow, but really cool!
Makes me think i should slap together a demo on how to make a SH-201 sound like a really big church organ. I made a killer patch doing just that.

How does it sound instead?
djbizzle33 3 years ago
It's more trebled and not as realistic as the one in the video. I don't know why, but maybe it's my speakers!

Rock on. This seems to work pretty well.

Thank you very much. That sound is awesome.
It sounds EXACTLY like the organ sound on the Klaus Schulze album "Irrlicht"
It is very creepy and cosmic sounding and lends itself well to descending minor chords.

Well cheers, I might come up with some other stuff later...

"d,9" is actually dig which is for digital as in digital waveforms

I'm not that clever. This was just fiddling around...

Does it over the possibility to overwrite presets with the edits you have made?
Belacig 4 years ago
You can over write them go look at the manual or download the pdf from the korg website

interesting video. thanks.
Overtino89 4 years ago
or... you could just use b55, which is a preset organ that sounds the exact same.
theionchange6 4 years ago 3
hahaha lmao!
cadabraa 4 years ago
But it's lame to use presets!
sm0hm 4 years ago
Sorry but you are completely wrong.
I am sitting here right now with my MicroKorg and I can assure you that his tweaked sound is unique. B55 preset is more Wurlitzer sounding.
His setting is like Church organ from outer space.
