  • excelente explicacion!!! me gusto muchisimo el video!!

  • Great Job John, thanks for sharing. You make it simple and clear.

  • The names of the Bata drums still very much portray the Yoruba language and culture from Nigeria.. the names.. Oconcolo is synonymous with the Yoruba word for small- "Konkolo"; Itolele is from the phrase "Eyi to tele" meaning "the next one" or the one that follows; and of course "Iya" means Mother.. like the biggest of them all!

  • the video is bad A inspired me to play and i dont play so again thanks John great demo to adhere too

  • @ObaOsun1 You lost motivation and you're going to blame the presenter in an instructional video? Sad.

  • you guys are all right batas are a very fun hand drum to play

  • This is an instrument I really want to play!

  • Go to Nigeria and Watch the masters of drumming play the Bata in the Native land!!!! The Motherland!!

  • man you should study seriously, go to cuba to see de masters playin 3 batas like Dreiser Urruti, ask chucho valdez...

  • Gracias John, great demonstration. Got me inspired to build a stand for my batas and give a go at playing batas solo.
