one for Doors ratios certainly unusually-heavy Rock and Roll song, very crazy and with much wit comes along - birthday boy Ray (now he is 73) could here his experience in the boogie piano, which he had at the Doors' precursor band Rick & The Ravens collected live fully. This showed: The Doors were a great Rock'n'Roll band. Rocking greetings from Germany.
This was the "A" side of the 45 upon release in the spring of 1970. It got to #50 on billboard and I heard it sometimes on AM radio. The "B" side was "Roadhouse Blues" which at the time was pretty much an unknown song. After Morrison died and the rise of AOR radio in the early 70's "Roadhouse Blues" became a monster of a hit and this song basically vanished!!
A late night ride with a sweet gal tucked in behind you. Powering up a freeway onramp. Wind in your hair. A flash of chrome under a streetlight. Senses on overload. This tune in your head. Life is jake.
I just hit the dislike button, 50 000 views with one dislike I just messed it all up! good song, accidently went james morrison by accident now that deserves a dislike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. I live in Portland, OR. I'm pretty sure the Morrison Hotel was on Morrison St. here. There's now a Morrison Hotel bar. So, I love this song and album even more.

one of the best songs, from one of the best albums ever... so much is said of Jim, but he sure could do it, loved the Doors for the last 20 odd years, still return often to this album,
@RaulSanchez777 which probably means you have the 40th anniversary edition, which should also include a few takes of roadhouse blues. Also, the 40th anniversary edition of LA Woman, song Hyacinth House...1 extra verse...Soft Parade 40th includes an intro to SOft Parade not heard before...and I think the 40th of their first album is done in the proper tone...i heard that the original was mastered a 1/4 step or something too slow or fast.
@Prototype5151 yeahyeah, that happened to me when listening to the 'waiting for the sun' album for the first time. the youtube version of 'Love street' didnt have whistling at the end, but the CD version did. so blasting this song with all my windows open I think there is a fellow doors fan outside whistling so i pop my head out the window and whistle back, to nobody :L
@DiRTMP, the whistle is from the remastered version (and there's a lot more of Morrison's jabbering in all songs). The record studio at the time wanted to tone it down I think.

He is trying to say that some album versions (including mine) have a whistle at the beginning of the son, made by Jim Morrison if I'm not mistaken.
