  • And of course this video, is portfolio #10... 15..? I'm playing with you! I don't think you need one now ; )

  • @2darbit hahaha, I do need to update it still, even for my own keepsake....Still comes in handy if I want to do an artshow in a new venue....cheeeeeeeers!

  • Thanks for these vids. they are some of the best for visual arts/tutorials/and good info IMO. Thanks for posting so many, and continuing to post. Awesome stuff, and awesome work.

  • @flatblack56 thank you! glad you find them helpful and useful.

  • I have to whip out a portfolio to apply for art schools. Sucks I don't have that much to show yet.

    Thanks for the video anyway.

  • @selfironic you don't need to have a lot of work to show, just a few pieces showcasing your talent is fine...good luck!

  • How about doing an online portfolio?

  • @Flexmeister sure, you could do that...like a website showcasing your art. Although the portfolio I show here is good for bringing to art galleries to show directly...I guess you could do that with an online portfolio as long as they have internet...hahaha

  • Great portfolio, thanks for the tip :)

This is great information; especially when you're starting out.

  • @Adrianacreates exactly, I thought it would be great to showcase how to do one for young artists starting out.

  • I was very surprised to see this kind of video come up on my subscription feed. This is a great introduction to portfolios and has some great tips. Thanks for putting time and consideration into a video that will benefit many artists. Definitely worth watching!

  • @judyCrayonmaster thank you!

  • @DrawingsByDerek thank you, hope it helps.

  • @raeart I just have one question, was there any special program that you used to get all of the thumbnails onto one page (paint, photoshop, etc..)?

  • @DrawingsByDerek ya i just used adobe photoshop elements, new blank page and then i placed the images into that and resized them to fit the page.

  • @raeart ok, thank you

  • So weird you put this up was just asked today to put together a portfolio to

This really helped out lots !!

    love from ireland <3

  • @Philipiscool111 no prob, glad to have helped out

  • I thought showing an A1 portfolio would be best or does this apply for University only? And so your A4 portfolio (in this video) is only for galleries and exhibitions?

I am starting my portfolio tomorrow btw. :)

  • @xlilmissbored37 I think they are both great ways to showcase your work. This is just how I have been doing it for years. Good luck with building your portfolio! enjoy!
