Indicates romantic issues, as well as saying that he loves her and that's she's beautiful, as well as stating he'd "bleed himself dry" (die) for her.

It's quite unusual for the lyrics of the "yellow" parts, I agree. But I think that the colour of yellow is meant to show that she's his light, or his own personal "star."
